Looks like the wine thieves have moved on from boxers drinks and are now taking from cartoons as well. Did I miss summer this year? An autumn from July to November seems a little bit much. At least we can all go on holiday to Crete while Kabul goes down though.

Morning all!
How are we all today? In fine fettle I trust?
Went out for dinner yesterday, to Prince Andrew’s favourite pizza-chain establishment. Albeit in Brighton Marina.
TVblog: A bit of Cadfael, Futurama, The Planets (Brian Cox one), The Good Place, Community, some of Newsnight. ALL THE TELEVISION.
Afghanblog: want to know why the Taliban are coming across as a bit pally this time? Money. They’ve taken over a country whose central bank relies on reserves held in the US, and it’s been a few weeks since the last money-bags entered the country.

Yep, 80% of Afghanistan's income was overseas aid. They now have a fraction of that. They've also done some PR training (thanks Vlad). The focus on women and the rights of women in Afghanistan may cause some awkward conversations when that scrutiny is applied elsewhere in the Middle East. China needs lithium, Afghanistan has it.....

gameschat. Taking a break from CK2 and playing Rome Remastered. Never played as the Brutii and it's a bit more fun than the Scipii.
Hoplite phalanxes are a literal pain to face, that is until you get cavalry involved.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
6 y-o who is not mine became 7 y-o who is not mine today. And she also used a racist phrase first thing, before the presents were even open. Mammal who tolerates me does not tolerate racist phrases. Leniency was applied, on the basis that she didn't understand what she was saying, and said she didn't remember where she heard it, possibly from her father. Smart kid, knows when there might be trouble to dob in the parent who isn't present.

Not a prejudice but how about "Ovinophobia"?

Morning Lithium fans!
Maybe the Taliban lads have taken the time off to have a sit down and a long hard think about what they did and have decided they want to make things right?
Or what scamipal and scamander said earlier.
OTTM, I've been reading/watching videos about magic builds in Demon's souls.
OOTTM, booked a holiday for October half term. That's October. In England. At the seaside. In a caravan. Oh.

On the south coast that might not be disastrous.
On the North Sea though. Oof . You'll be as shrunken and wizened as Rolling Escargot by the end of the week

Couple of books. Thermals/cagoule. Booze. Life jacket/flare.
I've made a terrible mistake.

Although the traffic shouldn't be as bad as going anywhere near Cornwall or the welsh coast this year. Was this all brought on by York chat?

Holiday (dying in the cold) book* chat.
*Stephen King
I've ordered his new book 'Billy Summers' and also have two of his short crime stories unread, Joyland and The Colorado Kid.
However, I've seen The Dark Tower collection (8 books) on Jeff.com for £50. There aren't many of his books I haven't read but ive never tried this series. They appear to be more fantasy based.
Last fantasyish books I read were about 5/6 years ago, The Magician and another one by Raymond Feist.
Cool story.

No, we go fairly often as I'm not too far away, just occasionally Easter or mainly summer, never ever in October. (the net tightens)

I don't think you have told us anything that wasn't already clear from previous posts.
Apart from your willingness to go skinny dipping in Scarborough or Whitby in October.

We used to go to Whitby in the Scottish October week. Was usually decent weather though that might be rose tinted specs. I mean decent compared to Glasgow in Oct.
Hello. Work is very busy. Offensively so. No games, no TV.

Or possibly Bridlington.
Known as the lobster capital of Europe due to the pale faced Yorkshire people turning bright red if the clouds part.
