It's Monday, and before the weekend the President of the United States has fired the deputy director of the FBI just before he reached retirement. Coincidence? Our two plucky agents don't think so, but the corruption is going to the very top, and nowhere is safe. Rumour has it that the president's hair is a shapeshifting alien that escaped from Area 51, attached itself to a pumpkin and attained the highest office whilst only communicating in tweets. Mulder and Scully join the FBI's secret society and find that the truth is out there... but only to have it derided as 'fake news'.

Hi. This weekend I went to a gig in a local venue. The support act was from Teeside and sang a moving song about sitting on a bus from Stockton to Middlesbrough. My companion thought he sang like Alex Salmond. 4 stars. Games? Fortnite. Got a second and a third in consecutive games. Determined to get a win before my 200th game.

I think I have about 100 games under my belt now, still no win. It needs skills based match making really.

I played the Fortnite beta on the iPhone yesterday.
It played like an Irish priest.
Too fiddly.

Trump was saving his life. Everyone knows what happens two days before retirement.

It seems like a really petty dick move on Trumps part. I’m not surprised really.

Morning you lot.
Who had issues with the DiMA memories? I thought it was a brilliant change to the main game - would make quite a good puzzle game in itself. Reminded me of Portal.
Monday. I hate Monday. Ah well, at least I'm working from home.

morning all,
Finished the Thieves Guild quest in Skyrim, decided to track down all the word walls. One involved a dungeon where all the draugr were deathlords due to my level. Joy. Going to finish up the mage storyline next I think.
Also loaded up Sleeping Dogs, good fun so far.

There was a great Tales From The Crypt short film collection type of thing I saw ages a go where an aging rockstar had hair implants which turned out to be alien brain eating killer snakes.
That is, alien snakes which killed by eating brains, rather than eating alien brains. They probably also ate alien brains, being aliens themselves they’d have to have eaten something, I suppose. The main thing is that these were snakes that were attached to someone’s head and ate their brains. Not their own brains. That wouldn’t work. Fundamentally incompatible with species survival. Anyway, very much like Tentheenemys post. Anyone have any idea what I’m talking about?

My companion thought he sang like Alex Salmond. 4 stars. Hey, that's a tough bus ride to stick out. Travelling from depression to equally depressing depression. If you don't kill yourself, the chavs will likely have a pop. I love my town . . . Morning! WoW and .hack for me over the weekend. Having hit the level cap on .hack vol. 1 well before I should've, the game feels a little too easy now. Also makes the cut scenes that little bit more nonsensical. Win an arena match in ~3 secs, cue cut screen showing my character getting his arse handed to him. . . Haseo is still a massive knob who fully deserves every arse kicking though. Not sure I can make it through all 4 games unless he undergoes a massive personality change, or just gets bumped off. The latter being the preferred choice. TV wise we got caught up with Brooklyn nine- nine, the heist episode was very good as always, and watched more Jessica Jones. I also watched the latest X Files, which felt more like an episode of Black Mirror, and started Sneaky Pete s2. Also went to see the new Tomb Raider movie. It's ok. Would've been better if they followed the game a bit more closely though, rather than just trying to make generic action movie number 1,340,713. A solid 4 * weekend by my reckoning.

I've also got a couple of items (Krosis?) and some gauntlets which have lock picking enchantments on them, for the sake of ticking off one of the mainline quests I handed it back.

I see they are handing out Guardian picks to anyone these days.
Morning! This weekend I played no games, and did nothing else that mattered.
I did watch the first hour of Mad Max: Furry Road. Pretty good. Pretty good. So good in fact I somehow managed to fall asleep. Tom Hardy is tolerable as he doesn't say much.
The end.

Trump was saving his life. Everyone knows what happens two days before retirement. .... and they'd be right Wolfie. Mrs Gongs best mate dropped dead on Saturday and was due to retire this Friday coming. House already on the market ready to move abroad and everything. If real life was a game there would be some complaints about a plot twist like that.
In related news, I found a near frozen woodmouse in the snow outside the back door, and despite giving it the full Green Mile John Coffey treatment I didn't get more than a few leg twitches out of the wee beastie.
Feeling decidedly mortal this morning.
Games - PUBG didn't seem appropriate, and so drifted aimlessly around Subnautica for a few hours

I don’t for a moment believe that melvazord has thumbs. Possibly a large, Deinonychus-like articulated claw, but not thumbs.

I was too busy congratulating myself for spelling Middlesbrough right. I shall make a penitential offering at the shrine of Fabrizio Ravanelli.

Soon he will be all thumbs and then he will be too clumsy to play with dollies. You can give him more thumbs if you want, but known side effects include extended gloating and increased who-wants-to-touch-me bragging.

My football team failed to lose a game on Saturday. After succeeding 8 times in a row. In fact we won. Unimaginable scenes.
More to the point we are no longer the lowest scorers in the Football League. If you include the PL we aren't even in the worst 5.
24 West Bromwich Albion 25 Swansea 25 Huddersfield 27 Burton Albion 27 Burnley 28 Brighton And Hove Albion 28 Birmingham City
