Per month. I'm not that flushed. I did wonder what gilded palace they were going to.

Hi.
Games: on to ME3 LE. Had forgotten how hilariously abrupt the start is:
Shepard: Why has everyone forgotten about the Reapers? Anderson: you still going on about that fairytale, Shepard? Operative: Commander, Mars has gone silent! Reapers land outside, building explodes.
Telly: North Water. Burly men muttering inaudibly into their beards. 4 stars.

I am back. A visit involving a little gane where you enter one side of the place and are shepherded* two Klicks to a room on the opposite side of the hospital and told that some nice nurse will see to you shortly. Of course that is a part of the game... because the reception where you have to check in is around the corner and neither Ms Smiley nor the 16 pages of paperwork or it's web equivalent tell you this. After 15 minutes recovering from my perambulation. (If you see what I walk on, you will realise that this little stroll requires me to take a ton of morphine in order not to scream, so thinking is a challenging process and will be for the rest of today.) *The Shepherdess is there because some are only too likely to wander off having adventures and sliding on the floor, coughing their guts up... and that's just the staff. Fortunately I chat to my neighbours and the Mrs is filling a covid form out for her fellow. She twigs what has happened and goes to reception with my appointment letter, fills the form out form. Mr and Mrs get done then I am processed ... Reads the form, sticks an MRSA swab up both nostrils, hands me another and turns around while I rub it in the required creases of my undercarriage. Says that's it. 5 minutes tops. Except that I now have the 2 click hobble back outside... passing the Shepherdess who obviously thinks I am going to thank her. But while I have the two missing links together I point out the yawning gap in their procedure (and by implication, their intellectual capacity). I gambol and frolic my way around to wait for my mate... Who's fallen asleep. I left here at 11 a.m. and got back at 1.45 p.m. I want to scream ... And thanks for the best wishes... back to screaming.

Pro Tip: Keep them at home until free school/reception age. Put kids in play pen (or pens if they try to kill each other). Point play pen(s) at telly. Switch telly to kids channel. Go back to your desk/office. Just before PM gets home from work, change and feed them. Then moan how hard work they've been all day, especially at the park, and how you now need some 'me' time in the pub. Your welcome.

I have bought Deathloop for the PS5. What have you ever done? I have left it quietly downloading.
I have also forgotten to defrost anything for tonight. This is the second best thing I could have done in the circumstances.

Chumbles! Glad to hear you survived that ordeal, hoping it goes well on Friday and even better on the day of the operation! As you said, a distinct lack of joined up thinking on display in that hospital, not understanding how a (supposedly) 5 minute appointment can knock the stuffing out of a patient with mobility issues for the whole day. Hope you are getting some rest.

You’re all off playing Deathloop, aren’t you? I am. What's Deathloop? EDIT: Ah...I see. Sounds like my life, apart from the learning lessons bit.

This story may date back to May of this year but I only heard about it via the medium of a Stuart Heritage column: "Too much TV during midlife can put your brain at risk for dementia later on"
"Study authors also discovered moderate-to-high TV viewing during midlife also has a connection to lower grey matter volumes"
www.studyfinds.org/too-much-tv-brain-dementia-risk/Quote: Who knew? I'm looking forward to the next "video games are for children and the mentally feeble" comment on any video game topic.

I'm feeling cold and am back to double-jerseying. I guess that means that the lovely Brummie summer is over. I had a weird few days. It started on Friday evening when for the first time ever I felt the need to report a random Twatter user to the authorities. I won't bore you with the details, but in a string of escalating tweets I was reliably informed that I was a dumb*ss, a bully, a c*nt, a murderer and a "plague demon". A day later Twitter told me that that person's account had been locked for violation of its rules. Some fine snitching here that could make Mr Tiddles jealous. Late that evening I was supposed to tune into a virtual convention but failed to do so because I hadn't read the small print and their Yootoobs weren't working. However, by Saturday I sort of knew what I was doing and consequently spent the whole weekend on Zoom with practically no breaks. It was fairly intense. What kind of convention was this, I hear you ask? Why, it was an annual event for the fandom of an 80s cartoon series that I've never seen, Jem and the Holograms.* I was there because my friend Andrew hadn't seen it either until one day he decided to change that and created a many parts YouTube series where a middle aged man (himself) watches and reviews every single episode of Jem and the Holograms, thus turning into a minor celebrity for long term fans of the franchise. They asked him to co-chair a panel on the music, during which we were joined by the composer. In other sessions the lyricist, the series' creator, and one of the voice actors also tuned in. All of them turned out to be really lovely people. Since the programme never aired in Germany** I had been completely unaware of its existence until a year or so ago and I still only have second hand knowledge of the whole thing, but in a weird way it was a fun way of spending a weekend and meeting some Hollywood celebrities.*** Then today I spent 3 1/2 hours nattering to a friend on the phone. Maybe I need to start doing things in moderation. *There's also a film by the same name which is regarded as an abomination by fans of the cartoon series and which is apparently not very good. I think it's available on Netflix if you want to torture yourself. ** Contrary to the information in the Wikikane article. *** As you can see from the Wikikane article, Christy Marx, the creator, also worked on e.g. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G.I. Joe.

To be fair, in my defense (note US spelling) I claimed the 1st Amendment re: free speech, but the lefty loving Twatocracy chose to ignore my god-given rights under the flag. In any case I've now moved on to GETTR where (along with deposed Prez Trump) I can find a more welcoming cohort. So f*** y** b****. Spaghetti Bolognese and a glass (or two) of Cabernet Sauvignon. 4 stars. EDIT: I stand by 'plague demon' (whatever that is).
