I find it less annoying than any of the x-factor things but I'm not interested in watching it.

Except the child is sewing on the kitchen table AND watching strictly.

I’m going to a fortieth birthday garden party tomorrow. I’m driving, so no drinking… probably for the best, as it will be a Sunday. My partner has had bad sleep for over a week, and has decided to stay home. It was my assumption* therefore that it would just be me in the car - turns out the she had other thoughts, and that I would also be taking our son with me. To a party where he’ll know no one but me. Yeah. Should be “fun” driving for over an hour there, then lugging a huge present from wherever I get parked, while also trying to steer a five year old in the right direction… *yes, I know… Sometimes I look at my life and bemoan my fate and then one of you posts something like this which makes me realise it could actually be worse. Amipal, dear fellow, why is it you always lose these pass the parcel encounters with your PM? I suspect that it's because you're a really nice guy. As we're encouraging the child to do stuff like sewing, drawing, cooking, music etc I didn't want to make her stop. According to my phone we're encouraging stuff like "seeing". Triffic. Who's the boss? Who was the boss in your marriage/relationships? In all honesty I never really liked the stereotypical "Me male = boss" idea. In my second, being so much older, I was extremely careful not to manipulate or to be authoritarian. So much so, I think I didn't fight my own corner at all, which led to increasing attempts on her half to tell me what to do. She wasn't best pleased to discover that I won't be bossed; something that has kept me alive re RL NHS FUs. I won't regale you with my personal Horrible Anus of 2006 (wife departed, Mother died, best friend died, very nearly lost my sight), but enough to say that my boss thought I would commit suicide. But I am cursed with not being able to give up. I envy you the "wee problem" of being forced to watch Strictly whilst she sews! And don't take my snipes seriously you buffoon! edit/ And of course you've edited that out! |

If a so called 'rep'* from 'InstaLaw'** turns up at a hotel for unaccompanied minors without a letter of representation...they can do one and rightly so. Otherwise, any old pervert can gain access to a child etc...
