Good morning, Watched ep3 of Y the Last Man. It was ok, but I agree with the criticism that the main character is a whiny dickhead.
Also started episode one of Midnight Mass, but fell asleep.
No games.

Not very bad. The fuel shortage is very much a short term thing I think. Within a week or two we will be back to 95+% of normal (post pandemic supplies) which will cover everyone. FoodThere will be plenty of food, just maybe not the stuff you want to actually buy. It is also very likely that there will be some significant price rises particularly on fresh fruit and vegetables - which won't affect many chatterboxers very much. Apart from Christmas week I doubt many people will notice much. It is quite likely there will be a shortage of turkeys and other roasts at Christmas if you leave shopping until the last week and that the range of fresh fruit and veg will be disappointing. My advice is buy your M&S Christmas meal for one this week and freeze it. So if I've understood you correctly, you're saying everyone should start panic buying. No! Well not until I have been shopping at least.

The government's attitude to the fuel crisis is "You wazzocks" caused this by panicking and buying fuel when you didn't need to, so you can suffer. There's some truth in this as there's no doubt that media coverage has mostly created this by it's 24/7 reporting of this. Only live sports seem to have avoided mentioning it. As usual the government will avoid taking any responsibility ... Grant Schapps = useless Schnapps = yes please

No need, I worked it out. You could tell me then? I believe that is a reference to food shortages and that BabyF will be reduced to eating stolen cheque soup, of which he has a lot.
I await Crank's clarity on this matter.

How bad are things likely to get with the food and petrol shortages? I have been expecting the government to eventually sort this out before things got bad, but now I realise the present lot are particularly incompetent. We're in for a rough time aren't we? It's chucking it down here too, not looking forward to walking the kid to school. Crumpets for breakfast. I also had crumpets for breakfast. Warburtons has announced a halt on its crumpet production at two of its four plants because they've run out of CO 2, so let's enjoy it while it lasts. I have a packet of muffins in the freezer. After that it'll be foraging for baked breakfast goods in the morning. I'm worried that I might miss out because I only possess melee weapons.

Crumpet chat.
I too had crumpets for brekkers. As per Tenthen comment, I had ordered Warburtons on the Tesco shop, but these were replaced by Tesco own brand as they didn't have Warburtons. The not quite as good, but still nice. And cheaper.
Riveting, I'm sure you'll agree.

We amipals have eaten our share of rock soup and squirrel tail. But we've also known lean times. We'll get by.

I expect the electric car is good for sneaking up silently, yet at high speed on rabbits badgers, foxes etc. There's good eating on roadkill.

You have to cook squirrel until it is grey. When it is red it is too rare.

Hello Weatherblog: windy and rainy Weekendblog: 12 hour charity Ape Legs marathon by one of my preferred Twitch streamers, starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Wanted to donate early on but realised that outside the US one could only do so with PayPal, slightly problematic since my account had been dormant since 2010. Managed to resurrect it eventually, later took a break to have dinner and talk to folks on the phone. When I checked on the stream at 11 p.m. I found that they had smashed their goal of funds raised and that everyone was heartily sick of Ape Legs and had just voted to switch to BOTW. So I felt compelled to stay on until 3 a.m. As the stream came to a close we conducted a raid on a 24 hour marathon for the same charity. This one was a Scottish streamer playing Sea of Thieves with some of his mates, and it turned out to be so entertaining that I stayed for another 2 hours. Went to bed, got up after 3 1/2 hours of sleep to have breakfast and phone my mother, then went back to bed and slept until late afternoon. Had dinner and then joined my regular Sunday gaming stream at 8 p.m. which then went on for 5 hours until 1 a.m. Time flies when you are having fun, but... oof. The Sunday streaming game was Metroid Fusion, in preparation for Dread, but before that we checked out the demo of the new and upcoming Yoko Taro game Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. Reader, we were hooked. Hooked by the hunky fisherman who puts the cod into codpiece: Let's just not talk about the pudding bowl cut. Instant sell. I can't wait to play the full version.

He's showing quite a bit of nipple there. I don't think his bra top fits him properly. Also that belt does not go with those pants.

My partner took the car out for a quick drive earlier, just around the block. I was not anxious, not at all*. She hadn’t driven in over six years.
*I bloody well was.
