Morning Tuffers fans!
It's a Glasgow holiday today, but I don't work in Glasgow. So the pm and child are in their respective beds and I'm on a train.
On the plus side the trains are quiet. It's absolutely bouncing down.
Games. A wee shot of Jedi padwan thing. Hadn't played in a couple of weeks so of course had forgotten the buttons.
TV. Finished vigil and seven perfect strangers.
Coffee please. And I'm just wondering as I type if Pret are going to be opening late. *Hmmm* Send in Tids.

It's chucking it down here too, not looking forward to walking the kid to school.
Crumpets for breakfast.

Morning all,
Xcom2Chat. Turned the difficulty to rookie, I have no shame.
Timed missions are fine, perhaps try to sync the time with the type of map. A sprawling map with little cover and multiple enemies is tough enough without having 8 turns to rescue someone or grab an item.
TikTokChat Apparently my face would scare children according to a commentator. Was tempted to respond asking why they are looking for grown men who have faces which appeal to kids, but didn't want to get bogged down in it. Replied saying that it's handy at Halloween.
Which it is.

I hate Mondays - I have done my morning tablets at 5.30, turned over and gone back to sleep in the hope of something better. Nope - worse now

Worving from home as it’s wet out, is no petrol a good reason to not be in the office? Good luck with the trip destroy, Morrison’s here had a queue at half eight sat morning and was empty of fuel by six in the Eve.

“Come 2030, what happens if everyone plugs in their EVs at the same time?”
“Does everyone refuel their ICE cars at the same time?”
Oh.

Morning all!
Because the rain is coming down sideways today, I’ve taken the boy to school. Driven him to school, to be exact.
TVblog: Community.
Filmblog: Zombieland Double Tap. More of the same? Definitely, but that’s not a bad thing in this case. 4*
Weekendblog: my mate’s barbecue was very poorly attended, mainly due to people suffering from range anxiety. A shambles. Still, the drive there and back was quite calm as people seemed to be driving a lot smoother and not barrelling around at 80mph (except the Golf R and Aston Martin have a race in the A23).

So that is the end of summer then, goodbye lingering mild summer of 2021.
I am going to try to find a cash ISA today, I expect they all have depressingly shite interest rates these days.

Nice and sunny here, blue skies, gentle breeze, no rain.

Morning! I have lost the power of taste, which was more or less my main pleasure in life apart from getting killed 12 seconds into games of Apex Legends. End Times. On the other hand I suppose I could take advantage by eating loads of vegetables and pretending they're chips.
Games: no. Telly: Sopranos. Ottm: sitting in a room.

Morning. 'Petrol panic buyers branded as sheep as Devon and Cornwall Police say there's no fuel shortage' - Plymouth Live.Nobody deserves to be called that. Of course there is no fuel shortage. I filled up on Friday. There was a ten minute queue. I have plenty of fuel to get to QPR and back and hopefully for the next 2-3 weeks after.

There are two shortages
1) Food. When i went to Sainsbury it was quite noticeable that some things were missing. And there were gaps on some shelves. Fewer eggs. No beansprouts no asafoetidia. Some other stuff also missing.
2) Facemasks There must have been a big run on these as very few people seemed to be wearing them despite the guidance not changing. Previously I would have said that about75-80% were wearing masks. Yesterday it was no more than a third.

How bad are things likely to get with the food and petrol shortages? I have been expecting the government to eventually sort this out before things got bad, but now I realise the present lot are particularly incompetent. We're in for a rough time aren't we?

Stolen cheque soup? Your welcome You'll have to explain that to me Crank, 'cos I'm well thick.
Another thing. Have you watched the 'Blue Rat' episode of 15 Storeys High yet?

Morning
Yesterday I spent all day in the garden. Our pre autumn/winter lockdown. Lawns mown, garden furniture all packed away, other general tidying up. A well executed last minute job as it was raining cats and dogs this morning.
Last night I watched Interstellar for the first time. Starring that chest thumping guy from the beginning of Wolf of Wall Street. Got a bit lost in places but I really liked it. 4*
Games, not managed to get further than 2-2 in Spelunky yet. Had a couple of good scraps with those tikki chaps, the boomerang is sweet.
OTTM, bangers and mash for tea/dinner, with brocolli and carrots and ALL the gravy.

Morning.
Failed to cut grass yesterday due to monster sized hangover. Introduced drunkbuddy to flight sim Saturday night and got to bed about 3am. Finished the Alaska bush trip…. Unable to progress the Nevada trip as leg 16 is corrupted and won’t register a finish.
PM was to go to work today, but about 5 minutes after getting up managed to put her back out throwing a ball for the puppy. Strong move. Took 30 mins to get her in the house and onto sofa where she is snoozing with Prince Codeine, might have to sneak off and fire up the gaming rig…..
OTTM…. 60 miles of fuel, and none to be had. Think I’ll be wfh for a few days. Wet out.

Not very bad. The fuel shortage is very much a short term thing I think. Within a week or two we will be back to 95+% of normal (post pandemic supplies) which will cover everyone. FoodThere will be plenty of food, just maybe not the stuff you want to actually buy. It is also very likely that there will be some significant price rises particularly on fresh fruit and vegetables - which won't affect many chatterboxers very much. Apart from Christmas week I doubt many people will notice much. It is quite likely there will be a shortage of turkeys and other roasts at Christmas if you leave shopping until the last week and that the range of fresh fruit and veg will be disappointing. My advice is buy your M&S Christmas meal for one this week and freeze it.
