Monsoon season seems to have started. Puppy has just come in from early piddle looking like a happy drowned rat.

Getting my virtual sunshine fix by island-hopping round the Greek islands in flight sim. Almost completed the balkans bush trip, with just the last leg to Santorini to go. Very pretty scenery, even though the world creation engine has a habit of rendering ancient temples as office blocks.

Had an attempted ganking while at Corfu. I’d noticed another flyer had been stationary on the runway for a good 30 minutes as I approached, and when I landed found his Cessna upside down in some scrub beside the runway. Figured he’d just ballsed up his landing. Out of nowhere a frigging 747 spawned on the far end of the runway and gives it full beans straight at me! Managed to get out of its way with some panic, and took off. Mr 747 then respawned again facing the other way and took off in persuit. My top speed in a Cessna 172 is about 140 knots so he was soon on my tail. What he hadn’t banked on was my years of combat flying in Elite so I took him on a low level evasive manoeuvring tour of the beaches and cliffs of Corfu, until I trapped him in a tight turn and he piled into some innocent village. Top fun.
I saw him respawn again, but he didn’t come back for more. Pity.

Morning 127 foreign HGV drivers!
Back on the trains again for another webinar, so bed early last night. I was tossing and turning till about 1am so have had about 4 hours sleep. Top banana.
It looks like Super Monkey Ball is out on PS5. 4K HDR Monkey Balls does sound quite appealing right now. Top banana?
Very little in the way of Rod Hull, a shambles.

Yes Super Monkey Banana Mania is out and looks good. It's basically a HD version of the first 3 games, the first 2 of which were good. It does have a "helper" mode now too, which I don't agree with.
Wind and rain of biblical proportions overnight, hammering on our bedroom window. I have not slept well at all.
There was the added worry that I’d plugged the car in to charge, with the charging port exposed to awful conditions. As well as the fact our front bay window tends to leak if the rain comes from certain directions.
TVblog: some British extreme cakes thing. I then watched the latest RLM, which was over an hour and twenty minutes in length.
In other news I'm back to visiting that school in Roman kit to talk about, well Romans. Going there next Tuesday.
How does one procure your services? I know that the primary school my son goes to has a Roman week.
Find out if they want someone to come in and do a talk. I don't charge but will need a lift in and back. I can refer them to the school I currently visit for references etc.
It depends how they want it to sync with the teaching. I'll work with however they want the lesson and activities to work.
The current school's setup is a chat in the main hall for the two classes and then some time separately with each class. I've only visited one other school and they were a bit more regimented.
How do you update to W11? Do Microsoft send an update option directly to you like they did with W10? I have not yet had anything.
They prompt you, I've got updates paused so I can see if anything blows up first.
<edit>Reading about it it shows up in the update centre, where, I assume, you can decide to download it. <edit><edit>I've just turned updates back on and it's not there yet, now I feel snubbed.

I went into my kid's school last year when they were having a series of people coming in to talk about their jobs. It was fucking terrifying and I wasn't even carrying a gladius.
