Mornin'
Last night I played a wee bit of Division. I took a few new different builds for a test drive in the Underground, the Classified Nomad 5 piece being a winner I think.
I also watched the Shetland finale. It was very good. I'm not a TV police show type on the whole but having spent a lot of time in the Shetlands I find it very watchable, recognising places, names etc. I'd recommend it if you haven't watched it before.

Does anyone else remember the c64 games which let you play space invaders while the game loaded? I think Tau Ceti was one and Ghostbusters another.

Never played the 64 much. Our school was mostly a speccy shop.
Morning,
Lots of hotring action last night. Bit of racing in GTA as well...
Good fun with 30 folk racing. Some folk are really good at bumping you off and carrying on. A skill I should have learned by now. Some folk are just idiots driving too fast into corners knocking you and them off (also see GT:Sport and every other racing game)
It's basically NASCAR mixed with stock racing and GTA stunt races.

I had the film version and the cartoon one, I think the film version (the one were you could go bankrupt) had space invaders. I could well be wrong though.

Morning all,
Last night I finished up the latest podcast and played some more Sleeping Dogs. Slowly getting used to the controls, yesterday I cottoned on to the new Ni No Kuni game being released soon. Darn, it looks good.
Probably wait a couple of weeks for the inevitable patches.

To be honest I tended to zone out during loading. C64 had some awesome loading music. Robocop, Batman. Also theme from Cybernator 2.

Super Skidmarks had Pong available to play while it loaded. It provided a simple distraction, much like my face.
@camerablog Fuji? No thank you. I got myself a LUMIX G9.
I absolutely do not have any buyers remorse.

I never had a single friend with a C64 and I am not sure I ever played one. The console wars started early round my way.

Ghostbusters was great, the ghost vacuum process of hovering up the gritters was brilliant and it had the original theme music. Possibly a better hoover-em-up than Luigi's Mansion.

I remember telling my mum a friend at school got an Atari 2600 for Xmas. "Yes, but he's an only child. He's not lucky enough to have a sister"
You can imagine this didn't really sell siblings to me aged 10 or 11.

Small four thirds sensor, relatively bulky heavy camera, limited lens range available, but packed with new electronic features you'll barely use. Probably vital firmware updates within a month. Over-priced, and an unforgiveable insistence upon capital letters. It's basically the worst of all worlds. Terrible choice.

Bubble Bobble Turrican II Maniac Mansion Manic Miner Pedro
My C64 top 5 by virtue of the fact they are the only games I can remember playing. I believe Pedro was some sort of gardening simulator.

From its wikipedia.
Released during the Cold War era, Raid Over Moscow is an action game in which the player (an American space pilot) has to stop three Soviet nuclear attacks on North America, then fight his way into and destroy a nuclear facility located in Moscow's Kremlin. According to the game's storyline, the United States is unable to respond to the attack directly due to the dismantlement of its nuclear arsenal.[2]
The game is famous in Finland due to the political effect of its content. A leftist member of the Finnish parliament went as far as to make a parliamentary question about whether it was acceptable to sell the game that might cause vexation in a neighboring country Soviet Union with which relations were carefully managed.[3][4] The resulting debate and publicity made the game a top seller in the country

Last night I finished watching a Mad Max. Great film. Pretty much one non-stop 2 hour action sequence, and yet still engrossing. Like 300 only not shit. Even Tom Hardy didn't manage to ruin it.
I'm sure it's probably old news in the nerd-sphere, but I read that Netflix are doing an adaptation of The Witcher. Some odd rumours on who will be cast as Geralt
