aaaaaand with that my guest has cancelled. Understandable reasons but I now have two weeks to write and record a podcast. Joy. I'm really sorry, due to supply issues I had to make a few substitutions in my Babylonian good luck spell and it may have affected the outcome. So do you have to postpone the Mesopotamian demons & witches episode? I should be able to come up with some questions but can't think of anything interesting of the top of my head |

Use the notes I've made to create an episode on Witches and Demons in Mesopotamia. The problem here is whether I have enough material. 2. Have a Witchcraft in Mesopotamia and Greece episode (using the notes and doing a bit more reading). I'm leaning towards (1) simply because I don't know if I have enough time to get the research together and link the two. It also feels a bit cobbled together. |

While I have no liking (understatement) for the Tories, when an MP is murdered, we all lose. This, following Jo Cox's murder will discourage folk from standing as MPs, and for public office. Thus it will reduce the number and probably the quality of candidates. I'm in a fuck ton of pain atm, so my view that there can be no extenuating circumstances and the culprit should be executed will possibly ameliorate. But there is only one place elections should be decided... |

Well, that's all a bit shit, isn't it? Shades of the Weimar Republic, MPs getting murdered is not the sign of a healthy democracy.

In other news, I'm still trying to digest the Animal Crossing Direct. The new content is exactly what was needed although some features I was hoping for are still missing.
And then there's the paid DLC and I'm conflicted. First of all, I'm glad that for once they didn't just change the currency in front of the price and called it a day. £15 per year more, yeah, I can do that. But I can see why the US is up in arms about a $30 price hike.
First I thought that including the AC DLC in the price was a good option for me because of course I will get it. That's until I realised that I would only be renting it. Bad. Why. So unless they are changing their plans because of the backlash I'll be buying the DLC and pass on the online upgrade unless they make me an offer I can't refuse.
Hey, Nintendo! Leaving Wario in charge of pricing was a bad idea.
