Paris chat, Girlfriend is from there and were going in January/Feb. Going to put a padlock on Jim Morrisons grave and see the Mona Lisa at the Eiffel Tower. I'm also trying to learn French, it seems the entire language is made only with vowel noises/the sounds you might grunt if you were suddenly surprised by something. I'm Finding it quite challenging. Games not really. TV, watched the first 2 episodes of Sex Education. I thought I had heard that it was good, but I found it pretty crap. Dune chat: Have been thinking about it a lot, which makes me think it might have really been good, and I sort of want to watch it again.

"hopefully"? Fuck that, Cranky... Her track record is fuck awful, AT THE VERY LEAST, ask your union rep to note your concerns or you could end up carrying the can It's ok. They're intending to put the mic on a stand. Or part of a stand and a member of staff will point it at them. What could go wrong...

Hello. I'm still recovering from the Extra Life charity marathon stream at the weekend for which I pulled an all-nighter. Fundraising FOR THE CHILDREN! was a full success and my friend Andrew smashed through his donation goal within the first few hours, raised the goal, and by the end smashed through that as well. In the parade of interesting drinks my two contributions, the Irn Bru and the Waldmeister, went down extremely well, although tensions rose when guest YouTube star Supermetaldave64 knocked over a can of liquid girders and ruined Andrew's carpet. Naturally I pointed out in the chat that their former president banned Irn Bru for its carpet staining properties www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/may/09/trump-angers-scots-with-ban-on-irn-bru-at-luxury-golf-resortbut it seems that for those Muricans the Irn Bru coloured former guy in the White House has now become He Who Must Not Be Named. So Andrew burped his way through the stream and played Metroid Dread wearing snow mittens and whilst balancing on an Indo Board (but not whilst wearing mittens and standing on the balance board). One highlight I had been looking forward to was visiting Andrew's sister Keleigh's Animal Crossing island, but somewhat unsurprisingly the Nintendo Online we pay good money for is complete rubbish and we all got error messages. Keleigh and I tried to connect after the stream but it just wouldn't work either way. WTF Nintendo, WTF. Still, she gave a guided tour of her absolutely magnificent creation. Speaking of Animal Crossing, I still haven't had time to check out the new features, but last night I discovered that one can FINALLY put spare recipes into storage. Total gamechanger. With me still not quite finished with the Meteoroids, still knee deep in Xenoblade Chronicles, and SMT V coming out soon the timing of the New Horizons DLC couldn't have been worse, but I guess I'll be putting everything on the back burner for now and heed the call of the Kapp'n. During the stream I was told by another viewer who is an astrophysicist at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh that he was giving a public talk via Zoom the next day, so yesterday evening I attended that talk. I got to ask a question. 4 stars. Before that I got my flu jab and on the way home I picked up a doner kebab from the local kebab shop for dinner. Out of 3 members of staff and several customers I and a young woman were the only ones who were wearing masks, so communication was slightly difficult for me. When I came home I realised that they had given me Felice's order by mistake as there was no salad. Fortunately I was able to add my own. tl;dr: I am tired.

Ah yes, Bitmap Books publish some wonderful, erm, books. I have both A Gremlin in the Works and Commodore Amiga: a Visual Compendium. On a similar note, I’ve just finished From Vultures to Vampires, the post-Commodore story of the Amiga (as told by the last manager of Commodore UK, David Pleasance). It is the story of what could have been, of endless hopes, and crushing frustration.

And low down on the life expectancy stats. The Belt is the unhealthiest part of the UK. Your lassie will at least know where to eat reasonably cheaply and well in Paris. My exposure to Scottish cuisine has been very varied although not much since 2000.. Conference hotels like The Peebles Hydro to a friend's mum's house where I was given what I thought was fudge to discover that "Tablet" on to of 5 pints of Dark and a few nips is a knock out combo...

"During the stream I was told by another viewer who is an astrophysicist at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh..." "....I attended that talk. I got to ask a question...." Back door boasting by Tent Hen about a sexy astrophysicist answering their question. I was taught when attending academic lectures to a) always take notes, with illustrations if necessary, to keep yourself from falling asleep and b) always ask at least one question in the Q & A session after the talk, no matter how sexy the speaker is. Thinking about your question keeps you from falling asleep during the talk and asking a question avoids the usual awkward silence at the end of the presentation when the chair person asks whether there are any questions. There is nothing more crushing for a sexy speaker than the realisation that their talk has rendered the audience comatose. As for yesterday's sexy astrophysicist, to the best of my knowledge he's already got a German girlfriend. If you would like more sexy astrophysicists, check out the list of past and upcoming talks at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh Visitor Centre. www.roe.ac.uk/vc/public/astronomy-talks/index.html#prev-talksThey haven't uploaded yesterday's presentation yet, but I suppose it's going to happen over the next days.
