I just received my GHIC card, which is the replacement for the EHIC for access to emergency healthcare in the EU. It turns out to look identical to the EHIC in every way except the background is now a Union Jack. I feel so goddam patriotic right now.

I just got a text from NHSvaccine stating that as I am at increased risk of complications from Covid-19 and I can book a booster jab now. I am now worried about why they think this, I had a blood clot once and they found out I produce low amounts of anti clotting agents - I guess that could be the reason? Or has my curry and alcohol consumption flagged me as a risk on a national database?

It's the only place I wear one outside as I was asked. Still wear on public transport, in shops, work etc where required.

My sons school scrapped their mask policy in July. A few people have suggested they reinstate it, but the response was "other schools aren't asking people to wear masks, so if we do it it looks like we're being difficult"
