Finished the James Bond movie. Enjoyed it.

I managed a whole 12h of activity yesterday, so sleep was hard to come by, but I did talk to my transatlantic allies and enemies... I finally got wiped in an NP2 game that I should've been removed from 2 weeks ago; the vdiplomacy server is STILL down a week later!
It's getting very tedious checking in. I also get in an hour of Age of Wonders 3. It's a brilliant game if you need distractions - but Ankh Morpork requires Nobby's attention - another NP2 RTS game I can't win. But my allies - Commander Vimes and Detritus - have a good shot at it. Bums. Time to face the 'day'

Brrrrr! First proper frost of the winter. But clear and sunny so pretty nice out there.
Played FIFA22. A couple of champions league group matches as Liverpool and I'm wondering if I need to change the difficulty from the default of semi-pro. My last match was away at AC Milan, won 6-0! Then started a career. After a bit of messing around in character creation, FIFA22's Tuffers is a long haired, olive skinned, svelt, dreamboat. Hurrah!
Chilli last night and loads left for the troops tonight, so no cooking needed today.

I won a game of Fortnite Duos, taking a more strategic role to guide us to victory. My partner's tactical deficiencies required me to provide distraction and covering fire in the final fight, but that is well within my capabilities, and we won with us both still alive.

You should probably have mentioned the win from last week, when i accidentally killed myself midway through the game and had to be rebooted in order to go on and get the win. 13 kills. 11 people shot. 1 caught in storm at the end, 1 fell off a building somewhat foolishly (me) . I think you got a few kills and a reboot. A strong team effort to get the win. |

More AC Valhalla, played the current Oskoreia festival and nabbed a very nice scythe. Upgraded it and now Eivor is rocking a Darksiders look.
Watched a Sky documentary called 'Fake Famous'. Very good a thoroughly recommend.

A bad thing happened.
I got dominated in a ‘Wok to Walk’ till situation.
I went to a Wok to Walk and stood by the till to place my order. Then a man came and stood very close next to me, maybe slightly forward. The till attendant asked ‘Who’s next?’, glanced at me, glanced at the other man, then the other man placed an order for two bowls of noodles.
I need a personal development course in confrontation. I didn’t do anything (could it have been because the man was wearing building site high-viz?)
I just walked out.

lazybones . Have you considered the "Balls, nose and ribs" course? I think it could be for you. What is it? A fighting course for attacking the balls, the nose and the ribs? I don’t know… I mean I sort of wish physical duels were still a culturally accepted way of dealing with things. At least you’d know where you stood. With a verbal altercation - what are the winning conditions? The facts on the ground are that the man’s order went through before mine. I supposed if I’d been adept at verbal chicanery I could have negotiated a sum of money in compensation, but it’s difficult to imagine that happening. |

I have the message "You are dead" forever scorched on my retinas. Dayz is harsh, man, harsh. I can't find food anywhere.
I just know that the courgette in my pocket (that you sometimes spawn in with) will be the last solid to pass my lips all game. Also, not having met anyone, no-one will ever know how pleased I am to see them.
Then the inevitable stomach grumbles and slow trudge toward starvation.

I played a game of PUBG at lunch with randoms. I was playing pretty well and took out a car with two enemy players on my own at one point. We then got to the end and it was our team of 3 against a duo. My two teammates died stupidly taking them on but at least killed one of their duo and so it was me vs one other dude for the win.
However one of my team mates (perhaps the same guy who took Lazy's lunch) was screaming profanities at me at this point. It was a genuine 50/50 around a load of stones but random Arab type guy put me off with his inventive use of the F word and I narrowly lost. I love playing with randoms on the internet.
