Another great header. Like a young Tuffers.
Here's my hot take on last night's television: National treasure Trevor McDonald as the GamesMaster is perfection. Loved it.
But! I couldn't stop facepalming during the Splatoon segment. I know that map like the back of my hand. Contrary to what they said it's not a corridor, it opens up in the middle. You have the choice between a secluded walkway on the right of the spawn point that takes you to the centre of the map without being seen by your opponent and another walkway further down on the left that gives you the opportunity to either snipe your enemy or sneak into their territory behind their back. What you don't do is waltzing down the middle of the ramp from your spawn point with walls on either side that will trap you. Which is exactly what that woman did, only to be killed over and over again. Neither of them were seeking the high ground (tbf, the boy had no need for it because his opponent let herself getting trapped so easily) and when the woman finally had a special she failed to use it.
What is this, amateur hour?
I have fond memories of playing Splatoon and should really find the time (but where??) to go back to it. I've only ever played the usual 4 vs. 4 turf war mode and have fond memories of many great battles, but the most memorable was during a European Splatfest when all four players of the enemy team spawned but none of my team mates.
I was like an invisible demon, picking them off one by one, running circles around them. They never caught me, even as I was merrily painting their home base in my colour. Of course I lost - it was four against one, after all - but I finished with a glorious KD ratio.
Splatoon is a good game.
Edit: I'm taking a bit of fun far too serious, I suppose.
Oh, and I forgot that they weren't even bunny hopping! Bl00dy n00bs.

Gamesblog: none.
TVblog: Seinfeld. Then Gamesmaster.
The second half was better than the first. There was just something about the first bit that felt like they were trying to be different/alternative, yet the second half reminded me why Gamesmaster was so good in the first place.
Rab is a great host, and brings some Consolevanianess to GM. There may be one too many presenters - I know it’s only one episode in, but I struggled to see the point of Ty.
And Trevor McDonald is a fantastic new Gamesmaster.
Overall, I enjoyed Gamesmaster, and shall continue to watch it.

My PM had this kind of dilemma a few years ago and took it as a good opportunity to change jobs/career. There could be a few people looking at it that way who will jump at it. |

Not the best pre-xmas news there Scamander. As for FIFA crossplay. Nah, sorry. PS5 can play PS4, x bone can play series X etc. Bit not PS4 v's bone. People might actually want that.

That's a shame Scamander. I do not know what it is you do, but generally speaking you want to avoid a situation where you are made redundant and having to apply for jobs from a weak position as in that scenario potential employers (and recruitment consultants - who can be real shits in these cases) will know they can offer a much lower salary than what you get now.
In many cases it is worthwhile immediately start to job hunt and get a slightly better paid job elsewhere that is more secure as in the long run this will mean you are far better of even if when redundancy pay is taken into account. But appreciate this is easier said than done.

That's not a reasonable timescale for this type of decision. If you have any union affiliations it should all have to go past them first, which usually ensures things never happen as fast as management would like.
I take it the usual conditions are there, such as compulsory terms being 30% worse that if you signed up and took the VR option?

I made a chilli, which was nice, then I played Fortnite and PUBG (Casual mode) with two other men. I played Fortnite on my own for a little bit after that and unlocked a gold rainbow unicorn character. Then I watched Gamesmaster, for maybe a minute ...

Have updates become slower on the PS4? ...
Whenever I do an update, even if it's just a small one, it takes over half an hour 'copying'. This only seems to have started in the last six months. It's killing my vibe.
No Man's Sky
I turned this on to play last night but there was another update, and this was after I updated it last week ...
Update culture has gone too far ...

I'm pretty sure the average size of update has increased significantly since 2013.
There are very few updates of just a 100MB or so that seem to apply a small patch.
I am a big fan of the updates that download everything then spend an hour copying and installing.
The PS5 seems a bit better on picking up that there are updates, but it only downloads them one at a time. When i first had the external HD it spent nearly a month downloading PS4 games. I have even played some of them.
