More Animal Crossing and I made the mistake of giving Whitney a packet of Holiday Home souvenir chocolates. I thought the way this worked was to slowly built up affinity, culminating in being able to remodel their houses (which, in Whitney's case, is fairly necessary since she put in a toilet and a random bathroom sink into her immaculate home. There may be advantages to pooping in front of a cosy fireplace, but I still maintain that it's bad interior design). Instead, the chocolates made her want to drop everything and spend the day at the holiday resort, where she was immediately lusting after a nail bar themed holiday home. So I spend a considerable amount of time on getting everything right and am probably more pleased with the result than Whitney herself.
Then I had to hurry back to my own island to take advantage of my luck with money on that day. I also got yet another great new haircut from Harriet and finally acquired sugar cane. I also visited my first winter themed island with Kapp'n and found out that it was free of gyroids. Do they not thrive in the cold?
Baguette with French brie and Branston pickles for lunch. Perfect franco-anglo culinary harmony. L'amipal would be proud.

The pronunciation of her name seems to be somewhere between 'Higuain' and 'egg wind'. She's well irritating in the books. At least the one and a bit I've read so far. |

I watched The Harder they Fall today, while wfh for the good of the country. It is a western with Idris Elba. It does that jarring thing where it alternates between comedy, stylised violence, and realistic violence. 4 stars probably, I was sort of working at the time.
Now I'm watching the Peter Jackson thing on Disney about the Beatles.

I watched The Man Who Knew Infinity and the Horizon special on Fermat's Last Theorem on BBCiPlayer, both were superb. The latter being rather brilliant. I'm surprised that our eminent maths chap Tuffers hasn't seen them. |

I just watched a YooToob premiere for a review of R.L. Stine's Just Beyond anthology on Disney Plus. Verdict: meh-ish, apparently. Don't have anything Disney and don't care enough.
Dinner: mushrooms and butternut squash ravioli, washed down with a white Rioja.
Last opportunity to check out Eshop bargains, then more and Crosser Animals.
