I think the issue with JP is that he is an alt right ideologue who disguises polemical positions by presenting them like academic research points, and gets away with it becausehe is a professor. I read through his 12 rules for life book and it was like 9 uncontroversial self help style chapters mixed in with 3 weird alt right talking points presented as if they were uncontroversial self help chapters. Mind you, he seems pretty tame now that we are in the age of proper nut jobs like Trump (for whom JP was an apologist). So whilst the rest of the world increasingly treats drug addiction as a health, not criminal concern and pursues decriminalisation of drugs we are tightening down and looking to humiliate and further handicap users.
We'll see a return of public birchings soon, maybe even the occasional "witch" dunked in a river.

My experience of middle class drug users is that they're either apolitical or 'left' leaning. Leftish, though I'm not 100 percent sure what that means anymore. And my experience predates 2016 when everyone got radicalised. Young Conservatives tend to be quite ... conservative, when it comes to drugs. Or maybe that's a stereotype. I'm adding nothing to this ... My experience is redundant ... |

I was helping a women on a pc about 7 or 8 yrs ago who was trying to get a visa to go to the states. She had been arrested on the way to the stones in the park for having speed. 40 years later she had to go to the American Embassy for an interview. That's the bollocks the war on drugs gives you.

More AC. Earlier I finished binging season 4 of Camp Cretaceous. No spoilers, but there's definitely going to be a fifth season. 4 seasonsstars.
Dinner was halloumi skewers with harissa seasoning and salad. They didn't have the pita bread I ordered, so I used muffins. Very nice but the salt content is giving me a distinct Mrs. Lot feeling. I've been guzzling water all evening.
