My partner, the boy, and I have redeployed to Site B, after Site A became eye-wateringly loud.
Yes, we’ve been driven out of our house by a party next door. If there’s any reason to buy a detached property, this is it.
Within five minutes of it starting, the bass was rattling the tiles in our bathroom. Which is on the other side of the house from the adjoining side.
My partner went over to have a word, and it got ever-so-slightly quieter. But there was no way it was going to stay that way, as the procession of youths entering got greater and greater.
We’re in the fortunate position of the boy’s nan living three minutes away, and her having spare rooms for the three of us.
And so that is where we have spent New Year’s Eve. Who knows if our home will still be standing in 2022? I just hope the cat survives the night.
Speaking of which, I have to go over early-doors to feed him…

Turned the music up until they left and then moved round.
Not wrecking my house.
Good job too. Gongfarmer vommed a few minutes ago. All over some ancient computer shit.

Noisy neighbours are a fucking nightmare. Next door have been fine for years, woman and her two daughters. Then as soon as one of her daughter turned 18, BOOM noisy parties as soon as the mum isn’t home for the night. We’re in a suburb that isn’t party central. Main reason why we moved here in fact. I wouldn’t mind so much if we’d at least been told, so that we could have made plans. Instead, we’ve bolted in the night, which meant dragging the boy out of bed. Words are going to be had next year. |

It's a right head scratcher.
My mum and I emptied a bottle of Freixenet Rose in anticipation of the New Year. She went to bed early, I'm playing Animal Crossing. At midnight I stepped on the balcony of the secret volcano lair. A cold and starry night, only a few fireworks despite being verboten, several children with sparklers. I wish I had my own sparkler. I also wish I had a Chinese takeaway or some party food. The filling of the Berliner was Zwetschgenmus (plum jam), btw.
2022 can only be better, right? Right??!

We had this quite a few years ago. Couple and daughter (age about 16) lovely family, quiet, respectful. Then they split up.
Mum moved out. Dad stayed with daughter. Still ok. Dad met new partner. Dad stays at new partners house occasionally, still OK, dad eventually moves in with new partner. Daughter, about 18 now has house to herself, nightly youthclub/nightclub /racket ensued.
Several late night angry visits by me slightly helped.
It all ended when a load of lads turned up midweek blasting music, smoking ganja etc
Just rang the dad that night. He came round, mid chaos. By the weekend he'd kicked her out to her mums and put the house up for rent.
We were very lucky. It was a nightmare for a couple of years.
Tldr, everyone is a cunt except me, you and you.
