Good Friday I have neither read Ready Player One, nor seen the film, so I'm planning to flip a coin; heads I love it, tails I hate it. Then God help anyone who disagrees with me

I really liked the book. Was it the greatest prose ever put to paper? No.
Is there possibly misogyny? Possibly.
It's a romp. An enjoyable romp aimed at folk like us™ Spielberg has changed some of the plot and I'll happily watch the film.
Happy Good Friday one and all. Hope you're all not at work. TV. First episode of new Billions. Very enjoyable. More of the same.
Games. Round at a pals last night. Pass the controller at GTA double money races while we chatted.
{Edit} Asda have substituted hot cross buns for pancakes. Jesu didn't die on the pancake. Ffs. Easter Cancelled.

Asda have substituted hot cross buns for pancakes. Jesu didn't die on the pancake. Ffs. Easter Cancelled. Maybe he did. Maybe it was some giant pancake, spun around while Roman soldiers threw knives* at him? Then the church decided that a circle was a pretty rubbish symbol. Got some graphic designers to think up a new marketing campaign and logo, and low and behold, the cross was born. *scamander can give us the correct terminology here.

Good Friday I have neither read Faceless's post, nor met him, so I'm planning to flip a coin; heads I have contempt for him, tails I hate him. Then God help anyone who disagrees with me.
Ready Player One sounds dreadful. I might play the first half hour of Bloodborne and get bored again. Maybe I'll play some DS2 instead, or look at sad pixels.

Oh. And if you want a book set (sometimes) in a virtual world go for Halting State by Charles Stross. Set in a near future (tho possibly now passed) independant Edinburgh.

Obviously either way no one is likely to disagree with you

My heathen employer does not recognise Easter. I could silently protest by hardly doing any work, but I doubt anyone would notice the difference.

Asda have substituted hot cross buns for pancakes. Jesu didn't die on the pancake. Ffs. Easter Cancelled. For us the distressing lack of hot cross buns on Good Friday is entirely our fault for having already eaten the lot on Holy Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. Jesus died for our sins, but he probably had second thoughts about hot cross bun gluttony. Pass the pancakes.

Had my weekly blast on Fortnite, started off well with a few kills but soon died early a few times when I started messing about. There’s also a new sniper only mode which led to me having a convoluted pickaxe fight at close range. I am not a fan of sniper mode. And there’s a bug where the controller vibrates for no reason.

I was wondering about the random vibrations too - maybe it's when another player is killed?

French toast and beans for lunch. Keeping the egg theme going after opening chocolate ones earlier.
Batch 2 of the French toast looking better. Not enough butter in the pan 1st round.

I’ve been grinding on Monster Hunter, I’m still quite low levelled, but I’m building up some thermal underwear armour and a poison blade for the next beasty.
It’s been fun reaponding to some of the SOS flares especially some of the special arena fights.

Ratchet and Clank. Fun. Not 100% sure I'll stick all the way through, but it's good. Any indication of how long it is? I'm expecting about 15 hours to finish it?

Dun dun DUUUUN...! Been trying to get the house child proof. Been pissing about a bit in Skyrim (learning that freeing prisoners isn't worth it - "Hey, prisoner of the Thalmor, oppressors of religious freedom! We've done it! We killed them, and now you are free! Hello? Helllooo?? Oh, you are dead, too. Sorry."). Finished watching both Series 4 of Shetland and Series 3 of Mad Men. In Mad Men it was time again for Mr Enemy to reminisce about where he was when he heard the news of Kennedy's assassination. (Answer: he was sitting in his classroom in a US school when the announcement of what had happened was made on the school tannoy and subsequently got into trouble because he continued reading the funnies. He thought that it was sad that the president was dead but couldn't really see what he could do about it and therefore might as well continue reading cartoons.) Where was I when it happened? I wasn't. (Not for some time.) Shetland, on the other hand has inspired him to ask me whether I thought that he would have made a good policeman. I gently reminded him that he can't recognise anyone. Coming soon: a new crime drama starring prosopagnostic Detective Inspector Tent Rooster. Contains such gripping lines as "Have you seen this man? 'Cause I was supposed to meet with my brother-in-law for lunch, and now I can't find him!" and "Just one more thing - I don't think we've met before. Oh, you have been my assistant for over ten years? Did you change your hair?"
