But god, I'm glad to go...Quite honestly, I think we ought not to be surprised - there was little difference between the two sides apart from the apparently ineradicable faults in technique in the majority of the batsmen. And the insanity of the selections. And Root's lack of control over his bowlers. In particular Crawley's real talent and predilection for keeping his feet planted every 50 or so balls. Or Burns desire to play across the line. An Ashes series isn't the time to be learning lessons; especially when the same faults reappear and the lessons aren't learnt. That has to be the inadequacy of the coach; England's best performance was when Silverwood was locked in away from the match. |

I don’t like Absurdle. I thought it was going to be absurd so I tried putting in words that made no sense. Then I thought, being absurd, maybe the aim was to play it as not a game at all, so I tried random guesses. Then I gave up.
It was just like Wordle and not absurd at all.
