I watched ep 1 of the Kanye West documentary on the Netflix. It was pretty good. All archive footage, a bit like the Beatles one. Archive. So when he was decent then?

Ep 1 is all before he got his first record deal, so before he went completely off the deep end. Seems like quite a nice lad. The other rappers talk down to him a bit. The George Harrison role.

A new deli type shop has opened on the local High Street, so I went in today to support them by buying something. They had packets of crisps for 4.80 and cans of beer from 'Overtone' brewery starting at 6 quid. I bought a small bar of chocolate out of embarrassment and backed slowly out the door.

Iβm drinking wine and listening to Smokey Robinson, having just cooked the most garlicky dish that Iβve ever cooked. A success.
While eating the garlicky dish we heard an almighty ripping sound coming from outside. It could have been the roof being torn from a Landrover Discovery, or it could have been an amassed piece of snow falling into the car park.
To be honest I was a bit unsettled by it, but sometimes I think you need to face your fears head on. There was nothing out there from what I could see. The red wine should be giving me the bravery I need in any case.

Evening
Didn't make the Tandoori chicken I was planning. Took the safe option and made good old tried and tested chicken Tikka, a firm favourite with the gang. The only complaint was they wanted more. More!?
Scoffed whilst watching Sir Harold terrorise the onion bag. Wallop!
4*
I wonder which gig Shenguin is at?

You have bluebells out Chumbles ? Methinks that pic Is a year old. Like the impaled planters! Well spotted - if I'd taken it two years ago it would still look the same! I certainly wasn't going to get my dressings soaked by stepping outside.

Hello. It's been a busy day. Around lunchtime the replacement microwave was delivered. With (at the latest count) three large microwaves around I'm gradually getting the feeling that I live in a Currys. With the ancient microwave out of the way, and the wobbly new one still on the kitchen counter, I unpacked the latest one and temporarily parked it on top of the glass cover of my stove. It didn't wobble. I breathed a sigh of relief and proceeded to pack up the one that needs to be returned. Getting everything back into the box it came in was a challenge, but fortunately I had the other microwave oven as a reference. It's going to be picked up sometime on Monday by Yodel. Pray for Tent Hen. Then I moved the new one into its rightful spot on the kitchen counter. I turned it slightly so that I could plug it in. It wobbled. I nearly fainted. Turns out that my kitchen counter, a big slab of fake marble stone, is not completely flat. I haven't taken a spirit level to it yet, but it came as a surprise. So it's not the fault of Panasonic's QA department, or at least not entirely. Never noticed that with my now defunct ancient microwave, but there again, that thing was so big that it had its own postcode. I managed to manoeuvre the new Panasonic into a position where there was no wobble. Will try it out tomorrow. While I was still busy with kitchen appliances my brother phoned to tell me that the concert in the Elphi he was attending this evening once more had a livestream, so that's what I've been watching/listening to tonight. Wasn't sure whether I could see him in the audience from afar as he was sitting somewhere behind the orchestra. (You can find the recording here. www.elbphilharmonie.de/en/mediatheque/the-sound-of-america-age-of-anxiety/681)

Going to listen to the boxing on the radio.
If it had happened 10 yrs ago I would have paid for it. But nah.
Which probably means it'll be a classic.

Slightly leathered on the couch. watching some young DJ Laurence Matte from Montreal play an acid-tinged house set on twitch. She's tremendous.
My god. I need a night in a loud dark basement out my farter. Shenguin, I hope your gig was fun.

hi
Do you think a Jaguarβs a worthwhile investment if youβre going to escape London to the Highlands when it all kicks off? Theyβre often very inefficient when it comes to fuel consumption, I think, and the older models tend to take a form of petrol that would make Greta weep.
Maybe a camper vanβs a more sensible choice, only less able to escape the biker gangs who take to the main roads. And the police officers who would bust your chops for not having a license. Do I need a Mazda Bongo?
I have actually found the spot of Highland forest Iβm going to go ferrel in. A shame itβs probably all going to kick off the moment my train arrives back in London.
