I had a falling out with the people in HR who run the training. I had to change my password to the training portal. It wouldn't let me set imho (Morning Shenguin!) a strong enough password before I could go in and do my refresher training on cyber security. Dicks.

One question - do you script the whole thing or are you working from notes? I'm impressed that you manage to talk in whole sentences without umming and erring all the way through. I've occasionally had to record similar things for work and could not believe how shambolic it sounded when I made the mistake of listening back to some of it.
I listen to podcasts on Google, which unfortunately doesn't seem to let you leave reviews. Might switch over to spotify though, as we have a family sub to that now, for the sweet anti-vaxx content. I did enjoy the 80s television refs, but unless I missed it, where was the reference to the goddam pencil pushers down at the urbs praetorium??

I research, make notes and then script. The latter is tough as you want to create something which doesn't sound as if you are reading out a wiki page. I usually redraft this several times. I have a problem with inflexions, so I have to edit and sometimes re-record. I had recorded it once already but it didn't sound right so I scrapped it and recorded again. It really is a skill to keep talking clearly and not make a mistake for even a few minutes. As ypu have experienced, it's one of those things which you don't realise till you do it. Wish I had included your joke!! |
