The child is obsessed with a show called 'The Next Step' which is about a dance troupe. It's fucking gash. Pretend interviews with the folk in the group as if it's a fly on the wall. Absolute murder. They're currently at "nationals"
If I don't put my foot through the TV in the next 20 mins I'll perhaps play a game in a bit.

Oh god no. The worst thing about it? I’ll probably still watch it, just so that I can be disgusted by it all over again. Think of it this way: Since the 1960's people have grown up with one staple, Star Trek TOS. Since the 1990's people have grown up with two staples, Star Trek TOS & TNG. Since the 2000's+ people have grown up with four staples, Star Trek TOS, TNG, ENT, VOY. Since 2020's+ people have had access to all of the above plus movies, books, comic con, Star Trek DIS. and now Picard. It has been part of human existence for over 50 years and we have undue expectations because of that. It's entertainment at the end of the day and that should always be viewed with fresh eyes and and fresh(ish) mindset. While I appreciate your viewpoint, it’s not about whether it is good Star Trek - it’s the fact that Picard was a bad programme to begin with. Nonsensical, crap story, rubbish characters, it just didn’t make sense. I cannot understand how anyone can possibly defend it. |

De Hems is one if my favourite bars in central London.
I have unwisely drunk 7% pints there on a school night several times.
I do not learn.
I believe I insisted on going to De Hems when Shenguin decided to assert his dominance over Lazybones.
It was a strong moment. Emotional. Deserved a 7% beer.

While I appreciate your viewpoint, it’s not about whether it is good Star Trek - it’s the fact that Picard was a bad programme to begin with. Still - one mans meat is another mans potato! I'm currently watching S1 E9 of Sisyphus on Netflix, time travel type, I would say not bad 4* but...  |

When I walked into one room two people who I knew (but haven’t seen for two years) looked at me for a few moments then seemed to recoil, in an emotion I would not like to place. One of them said I looked like an arctic explorer. Both added they had not recognised me. At the end of the evening one person who I’ve known for ten years introduced herself to me again. I suppose I should have removed my glasses and pulled myself up to my fullest height. I guess I’m sort of glad ...
What has happened to me? Time has frosted my hair and weakened my eyes. It has not revealed the secret to melt belly fat and baffle my G.P.
