Still wandering around picking up stuff before NG+ in the Big Ring.
The plan is to do all the side quests, bully some of the early bosses and finish off the achievements of which I have 36 out of 42 at the moment.
The steam forums are still a toxic swamp.

Hi! I went to a pub last night to meet a friend. He chose 5pm, which caused me a fair bit of social anxiety. Surely if you meet late afternoon, you need to specify how long you are expecting the drinking to last? Should your companion eat beforehand? Is the plan to eat at the pub? Should you expect to be there for literally one drink because they are expecting to be home for their tea, or is this a potential 7 hour bender? It was a bit of a nightmare tbh.

Salient points.
In the event we had 2 pints each, then it became clear that he was planning to cycle home, so we then had 2 halves each. I got my dinner at half 9. Not optimal, but in retrospect I think I handled the situation OK.

We went to a second pub. Felt odd. It was similar to the first in that the people who worked there were more inclined to wait on tables. The bar felt like a bit of an antiquated throwback - a gesture. A much better place, but … there was a chill. I felt it. The chill of money.

The first place we went (before the second and third) - now that place, I like. Only … the cauliflower cheese wasn’t that cheesey, some of the food wasn’t that hot, and the card machine wasn’t working. Not major problems, but …

I stayed up until 1am last night to see if the Diplomacy moves went through. The film ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ was on so I was watching that to take me to 1am. In actual fact it took me way past that and I ended going to bed at 2am.
Sorry - I don’t mean to moan. I feel out of synchronisation.
