I have never cooked duck at home.
Have eaten it plenty of times, mind. Always at a Chinese restaurant or a Chinese takeaway though.
I doubt I’ll ever got to cook one. The boy, despite being five and a half, is already making noises about not wanting to eat animals. I have no idea where I went wrong*.
*I fully understand that western menus must change to more sustainable, less meaty-options.

I was going to say something acerbic about being a veggie* but someone being aware of that sort of stuff at 5 1/2 is pretty impressive, so rock on**. *along the lines that he'll turn out like Shenguin. **Has he tried bacon?

I try to avoid red meat, hence the McDonalds once a year and the occasional Richmonds sausage.
Not my words, the words of my colon.

Trying to negotiate me going home tomorrow early doors. This is under the guise of doing a couple of washings. I shall, but also so I can play video games. I restarted Titanfall 2 the other night as I never finished it and I wanted something shooty bang bang I could dip into.
We're off to the newly reopened Burrell Collection tomorrow morning.

I like the weaponry collection in the Burrell. Some properly massive choppers in there.

Jesus gave me an Orange Twirl Easter egg, with 2 (TWO) orange Twirls.
How'd you like them apples?
Hi
Hope you're all having a nice bank holiday weekend. I've been doing DIY (building flatpack furniture) interspersed with some sitting (in the sun) and boozing (when the sun goes down). I'm pretty bushed.
The younglings are still out in the dark somewhere doing some sort of Toad thing. Helping mating/migrating toads across a road. Sounds a bit iffy to me but the house is quiet.
OTTM, anyone else getting invaded by MASSIVE scary wasps? Like nearly sparrow sized fuckers? It's like an invasion.

No wasps, but a huge spoder that lives in a defunct pipe in the courtyard. Every night he builds a web over my ashtray, and every morning I burn it down. It's like Vietnam out there.

Every time I serve duck to my son I bring up the time a duck bit him at Centre Parcs.

I got a Crunchie Easter Egg* from the Pref.Mam, mainly because it is one of the few chocolate things they won't eat, can't say the same for the egg itself.
*I gave them a Creme Egg one plus a box of 10 Creme Eggs.
