as you have failed to crop out the R*****s propaganda in the top corner. This is true - but look what they did. Massive story about Sevco and right next to it - in green - an Ant & Dec byline 'Jungle Drums'.

What do you mean? Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not, or that you feel good this morning, or that it is a morning to be good on?

hi I'm going to level with you. The story MrTiddles told me was a disturbing one, and I was reluctant to go to sleep. I kept the radio and light on for as long as I could. Be careful what you ask for. I've got one more for you later. It features a full body apparition and no scary stuff. Quite cheerful really. A free-floating, full-torso, vaporous apparition?

Are any of us actually really alive?

Ghost chat. Are any of us actually really alive? One of my most unpleasant night-time experiences was of waking up and finding the semblance of a man in the room watching me and my (then) girlfriend as we slept. He was very tall and hunched up - almost pressing himself into the corner between the wall and the wardrobe, as if he was scared to be seen. What if, actually, my sleeping vaporous form had slipped through a portal in time and space, and appeared to this normal human being - terrifying him by manifesting in his bed? Food for thought.

Why was he there? How did he get in?

By that point I'd been having lots of on / off sleeping paralysis episodes - usually involving something in the room - so I didn't (and still don't really) think much of it.
Having said that ... I always felt there was a strange atmosphere in that flat, and often felt I was being watched at a certain point in the main corridor. I kind of put it down to the layout of the flat. Although ... this semblance of a man appeared in the bedroom on the other side of the wall where I felt I was being watched. Also ... I once woke up in the night to feel hands at the end of the bed cupping my feet. I do think it was sleep paralysis but I do occasionally speculate that it might have been a ghost - the ghost of the man I woke up and saw hiding in the room.
Nonsense Nonsense Nonsense.

I once took too much <REDACTED> and had to listen to imaginary people running up and down my stairs the next day in a horrifying flashback. Sometime I would hear my bedroom wardrobe door slamming open and shut. It was horrific for the first hour or so but you kind of got used to it.

Good old <redacted> When you see lots of flying skulls when you close your eyes, but you need to close your eyes to attempt sleep. Marvellous.
TLDR. Don't do <redacted>> Worse than cake.

I once had a sort of waking nightmare, based around working in a Barclayloan call centre (where I did actually work) then being possessed by our family cat (which was dead I think by this point). Its eyes became like spirals, in the same way as the eyes of the snake in The Jungle Book. Then my sister appeared in the room I was lying in. She was by the door, but possessed like in The Exorcist.
It was horrible. I couldn't move properly so couldn't wake up. In the end I was able to throw myself off the side of the (admittedly quite low) bed.
I got up and put on a CD by The Fall, because it was the most bracing thing I could think of. This was fine for a while. But then the CD finished and I went back to sleep. But then I realised the music was still playing. I got up to turn it off and found out that it was off, but as soon as I put the head back on my pillow it started again. It was a sort of horrible, protracted waking nightmare.
I blame The Exorcist. A Video Nasty.

What Lazy is describing is, as he says, a sleep paralysis hallucination and nothing paranormal. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis(I've looked into a good amount of ancient documentation of this phenomenon.) My mother also had a bad bout of it for several years.

The Exorcist brought Pazuzu to the attention of a wider audience, so there's that.
Anything to further the ancient Mesopotamian agenda.

I get sleep paralysis fairly regularly. It always starts with a noise, like someone is walking around the room. I then become convinced there is someone standing over me. As I can't move I try to shout to properly wake myself up, but I'm told it usually sounds more like a wail or groan than a shout.
It's ok. 4 stars

Lazybones shoving on 'Lucifer over Lancashire' by the Fall hoping it would take away the demons. Big mistake.

My mother also had a bad bout of it for several years. I do buy into that. Almost completely. But then sometimes I find myself entertaining some basic, workaday, form of 'Idealism' as a take on life - the idea that 'all is mind'. And I wonder if there is any way to bridge the gap between immediate, knowable perception, and the hard fast world of empirical study. I don't know ....

You're all Souls Wankers. That's why you're having these night terrors. Doesn't happen with GTA.

My mother had a spate of waking up in the night with an entity pushing down on her chest. Turned out to be nocturnal brain seizures. Sorted.
Naturally I had to inherit this trait - no entities for me though as they wouldn't dare.

afternoon (again) Ghost chat: Whilst working for a security firm many moons back, I was on site with a colleague in a former nunnery turned hospital during WW1 with crypt intact - which then became a training ground for a well known supermarket on an 8 pm to 10 am shift week. Comes round to sat/sun and brass monkeys weather ( -10 to -15c)frosty ground and iced over pond adding an atmosphere to the scene, I had just finished my patrol and crypt check (from the outside) when I spotted a light in the upper halls going room to room. I told my colleague this and he confirmed it and made the decision to check it out, we stayed on comms standard practice (one in one out in case) and he goes inside. I can see his torch light as he moves through the building going room to room and every time he gets close the 'light' from the intruder moves to the next room. As he enters the last room I tell him the intruder is still there ahead of him, the only room left is a cupboard area with no exit so he gathers his courage and keeps his comms open as he opens the door - nothing, no light no intruder nada, he hightails it out locking doors as he does and we call HQ night shift who tells us that it's not the first time that someone or a light had been seen without anyone there, that it was said to be a 'Florence nightingale type of thing with a night nurse checking her charges at night during WW1 carrying a lamp. It put the s***s up us for the rest of the night. Kane.
