Right, got through to an emergency dentist, only to be told they don't deal with bridges. So, tried my old dentist (not been for 3/4 years) to find that I was still registered with them. I now have an appointment, yay - next Wednesday, boo. It's a relief, I can tell you. Good ol' BUPA. Private medicine = boo! Tids treated = yay! |

One tactical vote done. Nobody would vote Labour around here, they weren't even on the ballot last time. So Greens vs Lib Dem, tricky I dislike the Lib Dems and the Greens are still basically a single issue party and smug to boot. So voted Tory, I want to be on the winning* side of one of these things for once. *Last time was 2005 At least we know who to blame. Is that the secret to the electoral success of the Tories? Their voters just want to back a winner? |

I can see the appeal of that. I have not voted for a winning candidate for a long time. 2001 in a general election. Possibly 2010 in a local election.
Definitely not since then in an FPTP vote.
It's much like being a Birmingham City fan. My side never win anything. In the unlikely event they do it all goes wrong. At least Blues have never invaded Iraq or Afghanistan or Ukraine. We did manage Belgium, but everyone invades Belgium at some point.

My local LibDems are pushing hard on potholes, local amenities, and how much they hate the SNP. Their lead candidate in all their leaflets wears a fedora, a gilet, and a bright yellow/red striped shirt. It would be like voting for a 60 year old Mr Tumble. Not for me, Clive.

I strode to the polling station this morning fully intending to vote for three Green candidates. When I got there I found there were none so I voted for two Liberal Democrats and one Labour.
I do like Proportional Representation, as a concept. And I do not like what seems to be Keir Starmer's vision for the Labour Party.
But I'm sad there were no Greens.

Getting up late after going to bed a 5:30am Completing wordle, lingle 4,5,6,7 and rubbing it in Mr. Tids face. (I may not). Beating Usain Bolt in a running race (I refer to my previous comment) after Mr. Tids chases me with one of his 'special' toys. Spending the rest of the day lurking - in the cafe down the road/a cafe at an undisclosed location, and at home (honest).  |
