My son and daughter were at a chess tournament last week. My son got a draw with only his King. His opponnent had a queen and a rook. I asked why he disnt just resign. "If she couldnt checkmate me with those pieces then no, I wasnt going to resign" He annoyed her into a draw. Waaait, what?! Chumbles is your son?! Mind. Blown. |

It is also my sad duty to inform that 'The Lad' has had his electric scooter confiscated by Her Majesty's Constabulary. well, it is illegal to ride an electric scooter on public access roads and byways, unless he stuck a little flashing blue light on it and tried to claim he was the emergency alcohol delivery service. |

For the first time in a long time tonight I won't be joining the usual Sunday evening stream. The reason for this is that after finishing Trails in the Sky SC last Sunday there will be about a month or so of palate cleanser before starting the next instalment, Trails in the Sky the 3rd (actual official title). The problem is that the first palate cleanser turns out to be the epilogue that was added to Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition by the name of Future Connected. That's because unlike me Andrew had recently finished XC DE. So I just checked with folks in the chat and as I feared there's going to be big spoilers. First World problems, I know. At least I won't be going to bed late. Or at least not because I've been watching a gaming stream until 1 in the morning. Better get back to my game of XC DE and finish the darn thing. Still feeling slightly left out.  |

PM and I have spent the day rebuilding the worry tent, or what was left of it after it got flattened in the triple combo of storms earlier. Tools have been flourished… metalwork has been done, and a massive erection has been accomplished.
