When my ex- 'adopted' my Rover 827SLi* for her 12 mile commute because I "didn't need such a decent car because I was working from home", I had to get a cheap old banger to drive when I had to go the 26 miles into the office... that was a Corolla. *The plan was that I would buy a decent car when I could afford it, but that day never came as she wrote the Rover off after 6 months so 'we' had to get her an Omega. But that Corolla never, ever let me down, whereas 'her' cars were perpetually going wrong.

I wasn’t really a fan of that Craig’s List post.
All the effin’ and jeffin’. What if there were kids reading?

I've owned 2 Rover 75. The only cars I can say I've really enjoyed driving. Sadly getting some parts became a problem.

My dad worked in the British car industry for years so always seemed to have an Austin or a Rover of some sort. The MG Montego was good. It spoke to you when you got in. The MG relaunch was strange: m.youtube.com/watch?v=gv7mIjlVY1oBig Partridge Energy.

However, giving advice to my 20 odd (very odd) years ago self seems a complete waste of time.

Morning all,
Eurovision. Does Europe still hate us? I'm confused, it's as if getting a decent act and building a campaign outside of being on the One Show may have something to do with it.
HorizonWestChat. Finished the game. Good fun, though many of the peripherals are just that. Once you have some spikes to hand it's gravy.
Where next?

My uncle used to work at a car factory in Ellesmere Port in the 70s. A Vauxhall plant a cursory Google tells me
A lot of the cars owned by workers on the council estate, no matter their manufacturer used to be driving about with resprays featuring next year's Vauxhall colours.

The MG Montego was good. It spoke to you when you got in. Not so good is leaving the Arches rather oot yer nut, getting into one that some random is driving you to an "afters" in 25 miles away down windy country roads and the onboard computer telling you "Brakes need adjusted. Warning. Brakes need adjusted" "Ah, don't mind that. It's wrong" *Switches off computer*

I have hazy recollection of the events, and indeed the designated driver.
But he wasn't a grammar school boy.

"Brakes need adjusted. Warning. Brakes need adjusted" "Ah, don't mind that. It's wrong" *Switches off computer* The driver is correct. It should be "Brakes need adjusting" I doubt it even said that, you don't adjust disc brakes. My guess would be "Brakes need attention" as there would have been a sensor to measure pad thickness.
