You should have downsized to a Rover 100. Thank you for your advice. However, giving advice to my 20 odd (very odd) years ago self seems a complete waste of time. I believe that's an Alan Partridge quote from ol' Bones.

hi
I was in Liverpool this weekend. It was nice. The pm's brother and his family have moved to an area I used to live in, and like very much. It was a powerful experience to be able to watch Liverpool win the FA cup, with the pm, in a pub I used to work in (interlaces fingers).
But I did drink too much ...
Pubs in Liverpool are in rude health. You can stand in parts of the city centre and see maybe six or seven pubs. A lot of them are lined up next to each other.
Rude health. The rudest health.

Hello all!
Seems as though everything went wrong for my partner this morning. A lot of banging and crashing about. And so I walked the boy to school.

I made myself a veggie meal last night. Cauliflower cheese, broccoli & buttery mash. It was rubbish.

It's a good pub crawl city, although that cold wind lashing in can be a bit of a bummer.

I like the cold lashing of the wind. I've realised I'm extremely suited to the northern climate. Down south it's too hot. It's too hot for me.

Gameschat, huzzah!
Played quite a bit of B4Blood last night with Kane & 2 randoms. Probably the best session I've ever had.
Kane impressed me with his ability to hang on to the ferry rails to avoid drowning and also to obey instructions such as 'Take over the .50 cal, Kane', whilst I leg it to safety.
We also wet his nose in the Ridden Hives.
4*

The Ridden caves - no, just no - it's all sorts of wrong 2* One of our randoms got wacked by the big one with the club arm so I went to rescue them - and got wacked, leaving both of us hanging off the railing, great view across the water though. Mr. Tids didn't run away screaming for a change, which was nice. over all it was great fun. Kane.

hi
I’ve just been to the frankincense shop. It was ok. The man in there was someone I didn’t recognise. I asked him a question and he asked me to sit down. He came back with some frankincense, and some myrrh. He got a resin pairing knife and prepared a bowl of incense which he then wafted at me with a paddle.
I had to leave. But ended up buying three times as much as I’d anticipated.
Frankincense and myrrh. Out the wazoo.

Last night I joined the chat of the Sunday game stream which came to a close after less than two hours because the streamer ended up throwing his controller (mentally, not physically). The offending game was Astral Chain, a game he had started about a year or so ago and enjoyed playing until he had got distracted, so the plan was to pick up where he'd left off. We don't know what it was - lack of familiarity with the controls or a genuine bug encounter - but it started with a doorway that was apparently beset by a glitch that turned it into a one-way. He then got frustrated by two timed side quests that seemingly offered no visual clues as to what to do. Andrew is known for having a short fuse, and this put a match to it. Oh well. I haven't seen any of these problems documented on t'internet and there was someone in the chat who had played and loved the game, but they were out of their depth as well.
I have many faults but I also have a lot of patience (or maybe it's just apathy), so my approach would have been to at least reload the save file and see whether that would fix it. The game is - where else - in my backlog, so sooner or (probably) later I will be experiencing that level for myself. All I'm saying is that this wouldn't have happened with Trails in the Sky. Can't wait to return to that.
