Aren't massive 4K tellys considerably cheaper than massive 4K monitors? My 4K monitor cost about the same as the TV and is about a quarter of the size. Yes, but they are 60 hz and have terrible, truly awful response times. It's basically feels like you are pushing a character through glue. Plus bigger is not always better, it reaches a point where even 4k has a low PPI and the picture is not particularly sharp.

Oh, I know. But my attitude is that it had more than one chance and it blew it. Now I'm playing other stuff first.

Wait, I need to change from the CRT beast taking half the room? Did anyone ever get a 3d TV or did that never work?

Ideally I want a 120hz 40" 4k hdr TV with 4 hdmi 2.2 ports one of which is eArc. Not happening anytime soon. And you can't really get all those specs in TV that small.

My telly settings page says it's set to 50fps HDR 8 bit.
That's good right?

So hdr at 50fps Vs no hdr at 60 FPS? I'd stick with the pretty 50 if it was me. I stopped playing cyberpunk as I decided I wanted to wait till I got a 4k TV.

All the Manga Blu-ray rips are 10bit. But as I assume you're not a wrong-un it doesn't matter.

I can’t help but mentally bracket 4k monitors with Tor and the Dark Web.

I am against a windfall tax. We already tax dividends, bonuses and employee rewards so a system is already there for the government coffers to benefit as companies make more money.
In any case it looks like the government proposal will see oil and gas companies getting around it by funneling money into "investments".

Last night I played more XC and I'm happy to report that the pottering about never stops. Achieved S-rank on the last remaining challenge, unsurprising since I'm way overlevelled. I always like to hear the Nopon Archsage telling me how he has no time for window shoppers.
Although I must say that Eryth Sea is just too big. Even with switching on the auto-run (in this case auto-swim) feature it takes far too long to get out to Hode Refuge. Anyway, I beat Funeral Gorza there into a pulp. He attacked me first, I said "it's your own Funeral, Gorza", but would he listen? Afterwards Heropon Riki and his band also dealt with Gorza's cronies that were out for revenge.
I'm good at this game.

32 inches is really where you notice the 4k resolution compared to 1440p, plus it's not too big you have to sit too far back. You will want a nice IPS or VA panel as these have richer colours and you probably don't mind taking the hit on the response times. I assume you are not bothered about curved or super-wide, not that there's anything wrong with them. Really the biggest factor affecting price now is the refresh rate of the monitor. I would always recommend at least 120hz, but this is where prices rocket. If you are happy with 60hz (which is fine for turn-based games) the following might be worth a look for a start: I have recently bought a Samsung G5. Samsung Odyssey G5 (LC32G55TQWRXXU) 32" 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor - 144Hz, 1ms, 1440p QHD, Freesync Premium, HDR10, HDMI link: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08WWX3VHM?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1With my eyesight it doesn't bother me that it isn't 4K, although for the kudos it might have been interesting.

Wait, I need to change from the CRT beast taking half the room? Did anyone ever get a 3d TV or did that never work? I still have a 3D telly. Shame it never caught on as it was quite effective. The one year they broadcast Wimbledon tennis in full 3D was entertaining. The 3D POV was very low to the baseline, and the ball got very close very fast. There are still some downloadable demos but very little 3D content. The TV has the option to 'upscale' normal TV into a poor version of emulated 3D but that is a recipe for a headache.

Legalise sweets and tax them properly? Or treat it as a public health issue to properly sort it?
Works for both normal and Cranks chews. Put the poppers into popping candy and watch the chaos.

Where do you play? In your imagination? Have you heard about 4k monitors? Yes and they are too small... If you are playing games where 60fps is enough then for a standard aspect ratio, a 43" size (stop it Tuffers) TV is your only option ...

You're generally closer to a monitor so size doesn't matter. Cue jokes... Not all of us! I'm about 3' away from mine... I'd dearly love my curved LG 55" OLED screen as a monitor but it simply won't fit on my desk
The camera shake doesn't help
