I also looked at a venison-based diet (Letters, 12 June). I ordered four haunches, expecting it to be two deer but it was only two bucks. There's no cents in that ... And Ouch - treatment was its usual thoroughly unpleasant experience. 🤕 Whilst the nurse was scrubbing my nerve ends, the Vascular team called to postpone the telephone appointment they made to discuss my cancelled, twice postponed operation (from October 21 and this January) which had originally been rearranged to June '21 from March 20, which itself was a postponement from December 19.... You wouldn't believe this if it were in a farce... |

Hello.
I'm hopping about and having difficulties holding a controller because the boiler repair has just cost me an arm and a leg.
And of course the heating engineer turned up unannounced this morning when I was in the bathroom. Anyways, the leak f*cked up all basically all the electronic parts and they have now been replaced. The heat exchanger motor is gone as well, but he couldn't establish that until the rest was working again. So now a new motor is on order and should be arriving later this week or at the beginning of the next and until then I need to kickstart the heating to have hot water for 15-20 minutes because if you just open the hot tap the boiler is acting like this is none if its business.
This also means that the dishwasher and the washing machine aren't working, either. I was already getting sick of doing the washing up by hand. At least I no longer have to boil a kettle for that.
In more positive news, yesterday I had a boba tea at the new local popular bubble tea place. Fun. I want to try all the flavours. Maybe also ask them whether I could move in for a few days since they have hot running water.

It's not retirement money sure, but I'll have an extra shot in my latte tomorrow, and a god damn 'Grab Bag' of crisps instead of a peasant portion like the rest of the losers in co-op. I 100 percent approve of monkeys riding on dogs. As well as chimpanzees drinking tea and clasping their hands over their eyes.
