I wasted about 2 hours of my life watching everything that was wrong with Obi Wan Kenobi A good ending though. No? At least - there was a good 20 minutes in the ending. I've only watched the first three episodes. I'll probably go back to it at some point

I liked 6. Though I wish they would have used the new CGI tech to put Alec Guinness's face in. I mean across the whole thing. And to erase the Inquisitors.
I would happily have watched another 'bad uncle' chase.

Late lunch: homemade Brinjal Bhaji with grilled chicken. On a diet so no rice or bread, but that was absolutely fucking delicious. I'm gonna curry myself slim again.
Lunch was late because I took my dad to see top gun maverick at the imax. If you park your cynicism at the door it's a very enjoyable movie, not enjoyed a flick at the cinema that much in years. He absolutely loved it, I'm confident he's probably already checking which bus will get him to the US Navy recruitment office
Sniper Elite 5 til 1am last night - it's got its quirks but there's a strong 'oh, just 5 more minutes' factor

I wonder if there will ever be a 'Porkins' Disney mini-series.

I would happily have watched another 'bad uncle' chase. I know what you mean - if leia and luke are, say, 9 in this movie, and appx 20 in New Hope, then Ewan McGregor has to age a fucking lot in 11 years to get to be Alec Guinness. Perhaps he has 3 kids and gets a job in social care? Can't wait for season 2 to find out....

I had a night similar to Kane's, but without the jugs. After playing Fall Guys duo with Twitch streamer until late in the evening I had difficulties going to sleep because it was still uncomfortably warm.
This morning the council in its infinite wisdom had parked two large rubbish collection lorries further up the road. The idea was to provide a one-off collection point for rubbish to counteract fly-tipping. For me this has been very useful because since before the pandemic the Pref. Mam.'s mobility problems have had an impact on our ability to take things to the dump and now that he's no longer with us I don't have anyone with a car who can do this for me.
Next to the two lorries three blokes were sitting on camping chairs, enjoying the sun and a smoke. Supposedly they had been there since 7 a.m. and as I approached them with my fine collection of vintage neon light tubes I got the impression that they had not had many customers. According to the info they were supposed to be there until 12 but they told me that they would pack it in at quarter to.
So I made several trips up the road and got rid of some of the stuff I had been hoarding in the garage. At the end I wanted to take them some cold beer bottles and ask them whether they would like to turn them into recycling but I was too late and just saw them leaving. Since carrying all that rubbish in the heat had reduced to me to a sweaty mess I took this as a sign from Ninkasi that I should have that beer myself.
Overcast and cooling down now, probably going to rain.

Note to self: Next time, write the eulogy yourself Tids*, do not let your sister do it again as she is a thicko. Runs in the family, does it? Let the record state that MrTiddles cast the first stone. You cut to the very core of me, Sir.
Have you met my brother?

Hi sweaty lumps of human flesh
Like The Crank-meister General, I too have been allocated the new Playstation Plus Premium package. I'm kind of a big deal. I have this until the end of November, then I can either renew for a year for the very exact price of £99.98 or opt for one of the lower tiers, with the peasants. Guess I'll see what it's like til then.
OTTM, spot of cricket watching, but work is busy so I'll have to watch the highlights later. Maybe some Glasto if they are showing anything tonight on iPlayer.

I'm sticking with peasant level.
I don't really need to pay £50 pa for access to many games I already own,
I'd pay to be able to play a load of PS3 games on PS5, but the PS3 seems to have been lost in the mists f time. I am considering whether to plug mine in again as everything on PS4 seems available on PS5 so the PS4 ever gets used now. I don't think I'd play ps3 much, but just having it there ready to go would be comforting.

The stuff on tonight is only really dj's and the like I believe.

I saw a big list and realised I didn’t really know what i was looking for and closed it. Top banana Also, Chumbles, the p in Terry Dakyl is very much not silent. Like a powerful horse.

If they are and they're all running at buttery 60fps it's probably worth a look. If they're streaming only at original res/30fps, I'd bust the ps3 out again and give it a whirl, why not. I de-lofted mine at the start of the year after my ps4 died, put custom firmware on, and ripped all my games to HD. Played it loads while waiting to get my hands on a new gen console - uncharted 2&3, the resistance series, Ace Combat, MGS4, and Everybody's Golf (love that game) . Still look pretty good on a modern big screen, and you can get back catalogue games for a couple of quid of CEX etc. It is like a plane taking off when it gets warm mind

32 effing c in here and rising. In spite of extensive efforts to kill off and poison the flying ant entry points last night, which I thought had been successful, the fuckers have found a new point, so Raid, vacuum cleaner - walking stick used as squashy squisher, Marigolds for reachable reptiles. And I've just had to do it all over again. Someone told me that for the walking variety, spraying a half and half mixture of vinegar and water is sovereign. Once the little proto Queens are dead I will have to try it as I am asthmatic... Of course it's just training...
