Yesterday my Ocado delivery had a whole crate full of stuff missing. The driver subtracted the missing items from the bill and told me to arrange a redelivery. Unfortunately it turned out that their website was down. No doubt the fault of bumbling Boris again. I'm sure that kind of thing won't fly once Rishi is PM.
I have found that the only way I can almost afford food shopping these days is to take advantage of the various deals on offer. Because the refund for the missing items was taking those deals into account but the redelivery didn't, paradoxically I had to add items in order to essentially halve the bill. On top of that the nice Ocado lady on the phone gave me a £10 off voucher as an apology. A win-win-win situation. Now my fridge and my freezer are bursting at the seams.
As I was putting in the order for the redelivery, I noticed a half price offer on a fancy platter of fresh sushi. So today I had large amounts of sushi for lunch followed by large amounts of sushi for dinner. No regrets. *wasabi burp*

An interesting device. I’m quite interested in the Mister FPGA boards. Once my classic Amiga hardware gives up the ghost, I’ll probably move to one of those over software emulation. |

Also I have bought a ticket to see Suede at Rough Trade in Nottingham in September.
I was considering going to see them in Paris. Nottingham is less glamorous, but cheaper.
Though I still want to go to France in the Autumn.

My thoughts exactly. The Last Jedi had me state I’d never see another Star Wars at the cinema. And when I finally saw Rise of the Skywalker on Disney+, I knew I’d made the right choice. I made the mistake of going to see Last Jedi with a group of normals. I had to clamp down my seething rage throughout the entire movie and then be non committal afterwards so I didn't spoil everyone's night by angrily pointing out everything that was bad about it and NO I didn't enjoy it, what the actual FUCK do you mean you enjoyed it?! Did we watch the same fucking film?! Did you even have a fucking childhood! Because Rian Johnson just took a big fat steamer all over mine, you make me sick you absolute plebs! Cough And that's why I don't go to the movies with people or generally leave the house. |
