8/20
I'm kind of split as to whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

11/20 Edit: I thought that I would get a helluva lot more than that. I'd search for Angel, but I really only watched with any great attention Series 1. Doyle's departure robbed the series of its best / most complex character and whilst Lorne was a great substitute, the Powers That Be and Wolfram & Hart removed Angel from the Buffy universe. I prefer Lucifer to both, excepting Season 6 (NAFF, self-indulgent crud)...

18/20
The name of the diner she worked in, and which Season Faith first appeared (stupidly, should have known that.)
The others I was mostly fairly certain about.

I thought Shenguin would get 20.
My faith was misplaced, much like his.

How did people get into Buffy?
I’m not sure I ever saw when it was on.

I do sometimes wonder … In the same way that people under the age of 18 can’t watch 18 rated films. Maybe people over the age of 18 shouldn’t be permitted to watch teen dramas.
I’m not saying they should be arrested, or anything like that.

Well done Shenguin.
Massively impressed with Sheep's memory from only watching the seven series once.
Less impressed with his ability to subtract 2 numbers from each other.

Which numbers did I get wrong? I'm genuinely confused about this. Buffy finished in 2003? So 19 years ago? I have seen Angel since then.

You've genuinely lost me. It first came out in the UK in 1998.

I remember there being quite a lot of hype around it when it first came out. I watched an episode and it wasn't really my cup of tea.
A few years later when I was at university, two of my housemates were really into it. They were dropping crazy money on the DVDs. £70+ per season. They would watch it and talk about it all the time, so I decided to dislike it on principle.
I did end up watching the first season of Angel, which I thought was ok

You've genuinely lost me. It first came out in the UK in 1998. Well yes, but I was using the finishing date as when I last saw it. Also I didn't watch it at first. Shenguin made me watch a couple of episodes around series 5. I then watched the first few series on DVD to catch up. So I only really saw it from 2001-2003 (possibly early 2004 by the time it finished) So. 21-19 or maybe 18 years ago if you insist. I honestly wasn't that bothered about the exact dates.

OK, I'm happy that one of my favourite TV series made such an impact on someone else and jealous that he could remember the details after one viewing from so long ago.

One viewing and a lot of lectures by a drunk Shenguin. Really you need to takes those in to account. Some of them were disturbingly in depth. Edit: All of them. Some went deeper than others tho.

Does this mean no one here has seen every episode of the vampire diaries? Has anyone even seen one? If so follow commander trumps advice and inject bleach, preferably into eyeball.

I would consider rewatching Buffy.
But
1) The picture quality wasn't great. I think it was shot for US TV which had poorr standards. I'm not sure it would look great on a big screen. Particularly the early seasons I understand.I don't think it is as bad as Friends which looks horrific. 2) Not sure the effects will stand up 3) It was of it's time. Not sure the attitudes will stand up 4) Joss 'perv' Whedon 5)The main reason is there's a fuck of a lot of it. 144 episodes is a lot.

I agree with George Orwell about allowing an artist* to be a dick**:
"If Shakespeare returned to the earth to-morrow, and if it were found that his favourite recreation was raping little girls in railway carriages, we should not tell him to go ahead with it on the ground that he might write another King Lear."
* In this case Dali ** I'm paraphrasing
