Good morning
Games chat. Last night I received an email from Steam to say my reservation for a SteamDeck was now ready to dispatch (14 months after ordering) and to click the confirmation to pay for it or I'll lose my deposit (£3). Shit just got real. 😬
"what's that?" "erm, just some new books I ordered about, erm, DIY"

Which one did you go for? We will be judging you. In my case, out of jealousy.

Hello. After work yesterday I went to my pals for dinner. Myself, him and his g/f drank some beers and a bottle of wine. I left at 9 and went home via the chew man. I stayed at his a bit chatting and helped his daughter sort something with her PS4. He "made" me try a bit of fudge - a new range. I then rather worse for wear headed for a train. Got home at 23.15. The pm said "fancy a glass of wine?" Just a small one I said... I'm *ok* - but I'm going to be tired later and I'm watching the child today. Fudge and wine - feel fine Fudge and beer - you get the idea

Talking of master race (and the Xbox).
Microsoft are trialling Gamepass family plan in Colombia and Ireland. $25 - so £25 - for five people *in the same country* which seems a bit of a bargain with a few mates, or even people you know from an internet forum.

I missed bdt and a trip to the sweet shop man? It seems like a very tame Thursday evening here, no Lego either. Took the little one swimming this morning, no tantrums or anything, although it was floating for her and sitting in the baby pool for me.

Watching YouTube and an advert came up with Nigel Farage explaining why "Digital currencies" are very important and why he's teamed up with a dude expert to...
I pressed skip, but it was rather jarring.

It's not weird to take a cd player on holiday if your music is mainly on CDs..
I think it would be a bit odd to take a turntable.
Being modern I take a DAP. I can use it in the car as well. I have about 2TB of audio across various SD cards, which I update regularly.
It's almost all ripped from CD or vinyl.

I take my tablet where I've downloaded* films and music so don't need an internet connection.
Though hardly ever used because we're on holiday doing other stuff.
*Prime sub needed.

I remember that on my last beach holiday abroad, to Cephalonia in 2002, we took a CD player with us. Unfortunately someone* didn’t remember to pack any discs. Luckily, there was a single disc in the Discman - and so we listened to Roy Orbison for a week.

On the way back from the pub I bought the Pref.Mam. a bunch of flowers and do you know; not ONE person asked me "what have you done wrong?", even when I got home the Pref.Mam. accepted them in the the way they were meant.
Broken Britain.
