On a walking break in Somerset - missed wordle yesterday and blew my streak of 60. Harumph.
Walked 16 miles yesterday and 17 today, my feet are like lumps of corned beef held together by elastoplast. Have drank a full gallon of bitter today though and had a Thai supper (Tom Yum Gai and Chicken with chilli and holy basil) and feel magic. Fresh air and excercise, four stars

I’ve never taken a CD player on holiday but it makes sense.

So….
Pup snout lump removal.
Dropped him off at the vets at 8.45… signed all the consent forms, even the one that said it would likely be a 4-figure bill. Ooof.
Couple of hours later I get a call from the surgeon. Even though he’d have been paid for the job he thinks it’s looking like a histiocytoma, and will probably be re-absorbed in a couple of months. In his words “if it were my dog I wouldn’t have this done”. Bottom line we went straight up and took him home…. Lump and all.
Stand by for the next thrilling episode…….

Visited the lido this morning with the boy and PM. Still freezing in there, though possibly slightly warmer than last week’s visit. Either way, we only spend about half an hour I’m the water.
Luckily there were a couple of school mates there for him to run around with afterwards.
Then this afternoon he built one of his birthday Lego kits, before we sat down and watched Naussica: Valley of the Wind.

We held off watching it with him for a while until we felt he could follow the story and also not be terrified by the giant insects and melting giant warrior. Still want to watch Princess Mononoke with him, but the “evil” imagery might still be a bit much for him. |
