We've already got a long way through tw bids for forwards this week that hve apparently collapsed. I expect we'll be raiding Aberdeen or Hibs for a cheap yet overpriced player today, if we are lucky. If we are unlucky it will be Dundee Utd. If we are really unlucky it will be Dundee. I can't see why we can't just give Cosgrove a wig and pretend he's a different player. Shock Birmingham City striker transfer 'collapses' is the online headline for us in the local Reach rag. Probably the least surprising headline ever. |

Does anyone, apart from Sky sports news, really take that much of an interest in transfer deadline day? It feels like another Americafication, trying to make it more like the draft day.
See also - games being played on a Monday evening now always referred to as "The Monday Night Football", and the away team being "on the road"

Martin Tyler has been talking like that for decades.
He's alright but if you actually listen to him he does say some really weird stuff.
I quite enjoy Transfer deadline day. The Hope when we are n for someone potentially decent, only to be gazumped by Hull.
Then signing someone no one has heard of from Aberdeen or Chesterfield who plays twenty minutes before being binned off.

I've been wondering about Timo's sudden return. The only plausible explanation is that he's back to brutally murder Lazybones (and any other Caffe Nero customers) for mocking him from across the way whilst his lifelong dream crumbled around him. Sat there, in the cosy non tax paying coffee shop, laughing him, he can hear their voices now "ha ha Timo is such a loser with his crazy folded pizza, let's order more from here whilst he goes cold and hungry, ha ha ha". But Timo knows who'll be laughing last as he sharpens his axe...
