Dogblog - Bugger all sleep due to pup crying as we caged the old dawg to keep them apart and he was pining for the daft old lummox. He is out of the romper-suit for now, and is in the cone of shame. Still has a 1000 yard stare so guess he's not got all the sedatives out of his system yet. Has a shaven undercarriage, and an unexpected semi..... guess that's a result of all the swelling going on down there. All in all it's a strong look.
Workblog. Heart isn't in it. Seem to have spent all morning trying to get the peeons who man our broken fault reporting system to actually fix it.
Carblog - expecting a nice man to turn up this afternoon and break my windscreen. No I haven't upset the local gyppo's (?) and he should fit a nice shiny and uncracked one in it's place.
Coffee? Why not.

Well, after last Friday's visit from the podiatrist (the one without morphine lasting 90m where he had to fuck off saying that he would come back in 3 weeks time), I left it before chasing it up - the action of cutting holes in some of my nailbeds and paring back the corns necessarily creates a lot of v painful inflammation that takes a while to settle down. It hasn't; the nailbeds ARE better, but putting my right foot to the ground has actually got worse. It's like stepping onto shards of glass... so I followed up my abortive attempts to get to speak to a doctor with intermittent attempts to get through the flappers at Podiatry in order to register my complaint about their cock up on Friday and to ensure that I didn't get put back into the churn. Hitherto I've tried icy cold, restrained fury, outright pleading, flattery (I'll try bribes...). I've never been outright rude as that's ALWAYS counter-productive. And so, it's time to deploy the manfully-mastered, choked back tears...  It's taking literally years, but I am gradually getting through the rhino-hard tegument that armours all folks who deal with the public and flipping them from their boss's side to mine. The stupid thing is that I am just trying to get them to do their job. |
