I remember a few years back they were trying to give it away for free in HMV Yep they've been digital only since well before lockdown, after their failed bid to become a loosely music based free paper. The website limps on as a sort of crappy indie buzzfeed clickbait generator, not seen anything worth reading on there for a while

Afternoon all,
What is more sickening, @destry being born just after the Queen dies or Schofield jumping the queue?
Beckham queues and didn't celebrate a birthday just after we lost Her Majesty. Coincidence?
Is @destry really Phillip Schofield?

Chumbles I think Anthony Eden was worse as a p.m. than Johnson. Eden Lasted less than two years Spent months of that out of the UK Spent mist of his time high on speed Confused Nasser with Hitler. Cionspired with France and Israel to start undoubtedly illegal war on Egypt Crashed the £ Lost war (partly due to financial crisis) and British troops had to retreat hastily. Lied about it all repeatedly both inside and outside parliament All that is perfectly true; but the cartoon is really only staring into the bottom of a filthy pond and comparing two self-serving, amoral, power hungry spivs. It's nonsense really as none of La Truss's leaked policies have been put before parliament. BoJo only supported Brexit because he saw it as a path to power. In my view Balfour was the king of the cunts, even though he wasn't PM at the time he made the Balfour declaration, the despicable act of the illegal sequestration of Palestinian Arab lands without compensation or safeguarding Arab rights has created arguably the most explosive trigger for war in the modern world... He opposed Home Rule for Ireland He suppressed agrarian unrest in Ireland He authorised the destruction of Boer settlements and lands via Scorched Earth tactics Ditto concentration camps with poor conditions suffered in concentration camps by Boer women and children who had been displaced by these policies Ditto the importation of Chinese slave labour to South Africa Attributed to this unfeeling, cunt: ""Nothing matters very much and few things matter at all"."

The Wordle disaster is actually water off a duck's back after this morning. It all began when Christo Grozev (the Bulgarian journalist who's the lead investigator at Bellingcat) started a caption contest on Twatter just before his day got really, really busy with reporting on the various smoking accidents in Ukraine as well as on leaked Russian documents that indicate that the Dutch President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe could be compromised by the Kremlin. His name is, I shit you not, Tiny Kox. No, really. twitter.com/PACE_PresidentAnyway, back to the caption competition. I thought, hey, why not slap something together, it's better than putting your belongings in boxes and rolling up your carpet. So I put it into the replies and after a few minutes someone 'liked' it. And then another. And another. And another. So, on the occasion of our great leader's birthday, I'm excited to present to you my first viral meme. Hope you like it and may it appear in countless future shitposts. I feel my work on earth is done.

I have also added a like to tenthen's Twatter. almost 700 now!
Big up also to Tiny Kox. Can't help feeling there's a comedy partnership for the ages waiting to be born if he can get together with Tokyo Sexwale.

I had an alright day today. I had a day off but went in to meet someone. It was a meeting I didn’t want to have but it seemed better to have it now than to wait.
After this I went back to my desk to enact what I’d written out on my notepad. It wasn’t long before an academic colleague appeared beside me to give me some shit. They were a bit rude to be honest. And I wasn’t even supposed to be there. Then I did an application for a training course.
Not an interesting day at all to be honest. Well, it was interesting for me, in a way. Maybe not interesting enough to write out…
I’m sorry.

Yes!
I have had three (3) Guardian picks. Frankly I think it would make more sense if they just automatically gave my comments picks.

Evening
Tea - M&S chicken Tikka masala hot + pilau rice
Now about to watch The Prince of Wales' team (A***n V***a) versus The Saints. The minutes silence impeccably observed by the fans. And a rousing rendition of God Save The King. It's what she would have wanted.
Later, episode four of Lord of the Rings, hopefully.

Karen Carpenter was always just a cruel punchline in jokes when I was growing up... I knew they were a musical bunch, but I didn't know she could play the drums like this, holy moly
Sorry I know its early but I've had a few wines and I thought this was worth a share. I used to play drums in a band and thought I was hot shit, but my oh my
