Thinking about watching Star Trek and/or and/or Lloyd of the rings this evenstance. I’m not sure why it’s come down to those two (2) but I’ve had trouble sleeping recently and Lloyd seemed to rod the trick recently.
Also got Westfield and house off the dragon on the back burner

Evening
Today I went on 2 (TWO) walks. One to the butchers and bought chicken breasts and bacon. Then for a walk in the woods, where I came back with some sweet loot: some damsens and some apples. The chicken is currently on the hob in a curry.
Jims: intrigued by the december release of The Callisto Protocol, looks good, unlike my face.
OTTM, I hope Tenthen has reached the volcanic lair and is preparing to launch the missiles at Tory HQ.

Just taken delivery of two Dominos pizzas. My daughter and I were each two slices deep before we realised that both pizzas had no fucking cheese on them. Store very apologetic, they are having 'training issues' with new staff. On the plus side, they're sending out 2 new pizzas and have given me a £25 voucher, and I've got a couple of free tomato-ey bread and topping discs to heat up with some cheese tomorrow

I'm so hungry waiting for these pizzas to arrive (again)

I'm so hungry waiting for these pizzas to arrive (again) The hotter the better for me. Alas, the youngest is having some too (eldest away at a sleepover) so it can't be volcanic. I have trained them up though, so it will be a madras level heat. Chucked a few birds eye chillies in too. Got some shop bought chapatis and rotis to go with it. It's a hairy bikers quick recipe, from their 'Great Curries' cook book and is the 'Quick chicken Madras' recipe. It's very nice. If you don't already use it, I'd recommend 'East End Extra Hot Chilli Powder'. Tesco sells it. In fact, most spices I use are from East End.

We've got an embarrassment of excellent Asian grocers near me, so I've got a good selection. I've just run out of hot chilli powder as it happens, we've been using Natco - I always keep a small jar with a 50:50 blend of that and East End Kashmiri chilli powder in the cupboard by the stove for day-to-day enhottening of whatever I'm cooking for myself. I'll note your recommendation for my re-stock this week, enjoy your curry. Thanks for the spice porn. Pizzas are here now 👍

The "nemesis" AI feature in Grid is pretty good. If you hit someone they become your nemesis and they might give you a wee tap as you pass by and spin you out. Just like racing actual folk in GTA.

52 years ago today the USSR's Luna-16 returned from the Moon bringing back the first samples from an extra-terrestrial object. It landed by parachuting back to Earth in Kazakhstan (doubtless because, in that sparsely populated country, the chances of killing people were greatly reduced (and besides if it did the dead bodies were unlikely to be Russian***)). Lucky old us got just under 2/100th of an ounce of it. Worth a lot today, sold on the open market 7/1000th of an ounce was sold at Sotheby's for US$855,000 on 29 November 2018. The 3.56 ounces brought back, by that measure, would be worth US$431,775,000*. The mighty USSR celebrated its success in bringing back just over 100 grams of lunar soil by issuing a commemorative 10 kopec stamp. *sounds a lot, but it's just one hundredth of the extra that has just been borrowed from all of us by Kwasi (pronounced Quasi, as in quasi-economics) to give to the super rich. **the relevance to us chatterboxers is that stamp. It could be claimed by Tuffers as a tribute to THAT (just look at the bloody thing). As the stamp is worth (rounding up) 2 tenths of one of our great British Pence (as the Pub Landlord might say) that would seem about right! ***It would, in my view, have been a tragedy if the satellite had landed on the parents of these fearsome women, celebrating their country. Crank must have been quite high already to pay that much for 7/100of an ounce.
