Morning all I got first post on the guardian politics live blog, guaranteeing lots of “likes” and giving me a warm fuzzy feeling all day long. What the fuck have you ever done? Eaten a Maple and Pecan Plait and had a coffee - my Thursday over indulgence. Slowly tapped in a half dozen emails; virtual hugs, replies to queries, encouraging comments etc. And gathering strength for dealing with chorez. My most immediate one is trying to find out what Amazon is up to. One of Bezos' Bandits delivered a couple of boxes last night by the simple method of dumping them at the door of Chumbles Mansions and fleeing before I could hurple* my way to the intercom. This was a bit of a shock as nothing was for delivery as late as 2h before then (I was checking on today's stuff). *I came across this wonderful laland Scots word first from my tight-fisted old besom of an alcoholic Scots Auntie Anna who originally came from Broughty Ferry, before she fetched up in Corstorphine, and then later in Dorothy Dunnett's tour de force of a sequence "The Lymond Chronicles", which I got to read pre-publication because my best friend was her literary editor at Cassells. Also from www.urbandictionary.com/Scottish word for "hirple" - Means to limp, hobble, or walk crookedly [as in] "He hurpled after spraining his ankle." And from piningforthewest.co.uk/2016/03/page/2/ about 'A God in Ruins by Kate Atkinson' "I’m looking forward to her next book. I read this one for the Read Scotland 2016 Challenge. Although Atkinson was born in the north of England she has lived in Edinburgh for many years, and she uses Scots words, such as ‘hirpling’ meaning limping." There are near variants in the North of England.

FRACKING TORIES I wish this guy would sell this stuff; we could then do something similar with Truss and her fellow Trussite Tories One of the comments: 'Use to have earthquakes here in Dallas when they fracked. Said it wasn't related. It all stopped when they quit. Now it's banned due to quakes.' You cannot reverse the damage that this will do to the groundwater. If you live in or around Cumbria or your water supply is dependent on water sources there, you can look forward to crud like that.

Bloody Jehovah's Witnesses just knocked on the door. I explained I was far too busy with work. I'm so angry. Just use this one simple phrase: "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn."

Played a bit of that Hot Wheels game on the PS last night. Decent enough wee racer. Can be quite unforgiving.

My nephew has/had Anki racing. I got him it for Xmas a few years ago. He's probably traded it in at cex for cider money by now.

I had a McDonald's delivered for lunch. I've since fumigated the house and put the waste in the recycling. It never happened, right?

scubar has more likes for one comment on the G than I have for 5 years of rich contributions combined. I am not angry, just disappointed, and also incandescent with rage.

My subscription ran out. I've got one month's left I can use but I'm waiting till my ps+ super duper runs out at the end of Jan. I'm hoping they start the gamepass family plan here after Christmas to grab all the new bone & pc owners and then I'll get it again as it would be a lot cheaper(hopefully)

I wasn't sure if that reply on the G as aimed at Scubar or at the state of politics. I'm more comfortable believing it as a personal attack on Scubar.
