Destry needs more headers! Just send a mock-up, like this VVV but don't expect it to be used, or immediately.

The last time I went swimming they still had the municipal bath house attached which I guess no longer exist. Libraries as well as now being warm centres are going to have to install baths and showers for those with energy price problems. It's going to be like a wonderful Dickensian Christmas.

Morning.
Upon waking, I find myself Mount and Blade 2 curious. I fear that Terrence Dakyl has injected me with the pump while I slept.

Signalling problems. Trains into town cancelled. On a bus that seems to be going round the houses due to roadworks and the like.
They're shoving up a lot of flats on the edge of Govanhill & Gorbals. Christ.
Games. AC Vikings. Sneaking about Monasteries assassinating the Saxon and their terrible double denim combo.
TV. Started White Lotus S1.

Morning,
Last Night.
I was in an odd mood last night so decided to fire up 'Stellaris' which I had downloaded a year or 2 ago. After 3 hours of setting up and tending to my empire not very much had happened, it seems to be a boring government simulator, which was fine. The end.

Boring government sounds a better evening than waking up with Terry’s pump juice in you.

More fracking chorz, all that I want ( is another baby... NOOOOOOO, where did that come from) to do is go back to sleep, but no chance... I didn't want a tattoo, but if I was going to have one... Gamez: same as usual, but I am pretty much locked onto a win in one turn based NP2 game and making a nuisance of myself in a move an hour game. The former is becoming a chore as changing the orders for ca. 150 carriers takes an hour and a half. But the real annoying thing is that my allies are not bothering to transfer tech until the last couple of hours of the 18h turn - with one guy that's 3 a.m.)

Morning all, got back into RDR2 last night.
Survived a gunfight against 5 people, tried to check their saddlebags for goodies, got kicked in the head and died.
4 stars.

Games Not so much
OTTM Not so much
Books I finished Act Of Oblivion by Robert Harris. I enjoyed it a lot, despite not being a 17th century puritan regicide.
Films Watching terrible films so you don't have to I watched Exorcist II The Heretic and Exorcist III Legion. I had never seen either.
Spoilers
Exorcist II is properly terrifying. A real shocker of a film. It's ok for the first hour. A rehash of the first film, but with Richard Burton playing Max Von Sydow and with no possessed girl. The second half of the film breaks down badly. There is some offensively exotic stuff set in Ethiopia and some not great special effects.
The most horrifying bit of the film is the psychiatrist's office. It is properly strange.
Four stars.
Exorcisit III (more spoilers) I watched this straight after. It s an odd cross between Zodiac and The Exorcist. I don't think the fundamental concept worked for the film Which is that the Gemini killer was executed at the same moment Father Karrius died in the first film having exorcised Regan. The demon transferred the soul of the serial killer to Fr K who spent 15 years in an asylum rebuilding his brain. Then does all sorts of ritual murders in Washington It was mildly creepy in places, but mostly risisble.
Four Stars
Neither film in captures the malevolent atmosphere of the first film in any meaningful way.
I have not yet watched Exorcist The Beginning or Dominion. They have a strong* reputation. I am hoping to enjoy them. I also have Rec 3&4. The first two Rec films were excellent. Proper malevolent shockers with a strong hint of The Exorcist about them.
*strong. Not good.

I watched Next, starring Nick Cage. It was right up with the very worst films I had ever seen. Really fuckin' terrible. It was so bad I may even punch Nick Cage (who is particularly terrible here) in the face if I ever see him.

I watched the first episode of Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix. It had Tim Blake Nelson in it and was basically a horror version of Storage Hunters. 4 stars.

I thought Storage Hunters was a horror version of Storage Hunters.
I admit I may have confused it with Storage Wars.
