Morning. Early morning start for me, but my cat has decided to sit on my lap. I now can’t move.

morning all,
Ten Saw your post about Morval. Are you attacking with a bunch of locals? It's a tricky one but you can sneak onto a ledge overlooking the long banqueting table and get a couple of sneak shots in there which does help. The tougher fight (well for me) was the couple of vamps in the small room up and behind the throne. If you have the 'unrelenting force' shout it's as good a time as any to use it there. Dawnbreaker's also handy.
Gaming Bought Rise of the Tomb Raider. Enjoying it much more that AC Origins. Unsure whether I've just realised it but an increasing number of skill trees in these games are largely pointless.
Firechat A friend of my sister's house burnt down last week. They were out for the day so no-one was hurt thankfully. Fire service suggested it was a small charger in the office (room they presumably use as one). Always associate house fires with larger things, not chargers.

I am pretty sloppy with leaving charges in the socket, I have made a mental note to pull them out when not used. Mind you, maybe she caused the fire so a load of firemen would come bursting in? Women love firemen. And being dosed with their hoses.

Paaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrppppppppp! Avast! *Raises all flags, fires main guns, discharges depth charges and scuttles all hope in 30 fathoms of water* it’s monday and no more or less than you deserve.
Stupid hobbies, hipster bluegrass, elite dangerous, booze, food, existential dread. It’s been a weekend.
I need to stop playing elite. Or get a beastmode rig and go full HOTAS nerd.

Morning!
Nothing quite like casual sexism to start the day/ kill the chat, eh?
As Wednesday was my Friday, I feel even worse than usual today. Still, managed to get quite a bit done over the weekend. Everything is now sorted for Octobers nuptials. Doesn't feel quite right as everything has gone smoothly and with minimal stress. Can't shake the feeling we've missed something big.
Also managed to get to the cinema to see Avengers: Infinity War. Very good film if you're a fan of the MCU, not so much if you're not. If you have an interest in seeing it I'd get there before it gets spoiled.
The rest of the weekend was made up of eating, drinking, It's Always Sunny and WoW. Found a lovely little afk farm in WoW which meant I could do all four simultaneously with very little effort. Living life to the fullest.

Hi. A fire person once told me that phone chargers were the top cause of house fires. Since that day I have been paranoid about unplugging the bastards, though I never clean the grill and often fall asleep smoking while the chip pan is on. Games! No. Telly? New series of All Or Nothing. It's basically a docusoap about workplace politics, lots of intimate scenes of moments of friendship etc, but it has the theme music and voiceover of a Nicholas Cage movie about the apocalypse.

Morning, no games this weekend but some booze. Any good games in the big in Japan sale? Thinking of going back to elite or GTA to spend time just pottering around not thinking, mad Max looks good but think it might get a bit repetitive after a bit but still need a bit of attention. Anyone watching Westworld? Was a good ending to the last season but still a bit confused even after watching the catch up.

Chargers are buggers for catching fire as the cables crack through and short out too easily by the small end of the usb as the wire gets bent from using it whilst charging.
I blew up an iron a couple of months back where the cable had got twisted over time and eventually shorted out. Great fun; huge bang, sheet of flame and the ironing board cover caught fire. Four stars, would recommend.

Mornin'
A weekend of work, taxiing teenagers around, my wife's birthday and minimal bevy has seen me through to today. Yay? Still, it's the Army v Navy game on Saturday so I've that to look forward to.
We finished S5 of Ray Donovan last night. I've thought every season of that has been special but 5 pushed it further. Absolutely superb. Tonight I'm off to see Avengers.
Minimal Divisioning, just Dailies and finishing off the Weeklies. I'm now swimming in DivTech. I also have 20+ caches from the GE to open up and there's still almost a week to run. All that DT will be spent optimising a Striker build I think.

Morning,
My weekend was pretty quiet. Went to watch Avengers on Friday, which was pretty darn good. Some funny one liners and the action was top notch. Saturday I fixed my mountain bike then went out on the local trail to test it out. Seems to have fixed the original problem but now there's a bit of a noise coming from the back wheel. Ah well, it's off for a service on on Wednesday. Cool story etc.
I also played a bunch more overwatch and finished off the Manhunt: Unabomber series. I really enjoyed it and a top series. I didn't know much about the whole thing if i'm honest. Pretty eye opening as to how long he got away with it all. *Bit of a spoiler (Even though it actually happened ages ago)* Intriguing that he was apart of the first Project MKUltra tests. They really fucked him up even more!

It was a good series, I didn't realise that the US legal system basically screwed him upon arrest with all the back door agreements.

WeeCooper I've got a division question! I've now opened 23 striker caches and am still missing the backpack. I'm livid. That was more just a rant. The actual question is, I picked up an exotic chest plate from Leanne Bennett on the Lexington event. Is it worth just doing a 4 piece striker build and 2 from something else? I feel like I should start using caches for other builds or the GE cache. As I'm getting nowhwre.

My orc would love to be there for your big day. No worries there. New xpac launches in August. Plenty of time for me to max one character then quit again. I know my WoW cycle all too well - Resub when the new xpac is announced,
- go balls deep until launch,
- hammer new xpac for a month,
- quit.
Also, I'm Alliance noob. Not my choice though. Tauren Death Knight Conchord will rise again!

It was a good series, I didn't realise that the US legal system basically screwed him upon arrest with all the back door agreements. Don't know much about the unabomber but have listened to several podcasts on the serial killers of the 70s/80s. Most weren't very intelligent or charismatic (the Lecter character would be akin to a film about 4'11 chap who was also leading NBA player). Serial killers got away with it back in the day largely due to: 1. Killing the 'lesser dead' (sadly the attitude the police had to sex workers and the like was negligible, likewise anything involving homosexual relationships). In the case of Bob Hansen the police were almost complicit in allowing him to kill prostitutes. 2. Mass ineptitude. A repeating pattern is X is pulled over in a compromising situation, a quick check on police records would flag immediately. The US states rarely shared records so when Dahmer was caught chasing a naked underage boy down the street the police just couldn't be bothered and escorted the drugged boy (Dahmer stated the kid had got drunk) back to Dahmer. Had they called it in or run a basic check then he would have been stopped earlier. Many serial killers moved around, exacerbating the situation. Police even helped one killer (might have been Kemper) with suitcases full of body parts as they looked heavy. In some cases the serial killer seems to deliberately get himself caught, even then the police are in full Wiggum mode.

You won't really miss out on much by going 4 + 2 and will still get bonuses just slightly less than the 6 would give. Sod's law means that your missing piece will be nigh on impossible to get, I was toiling for weeks trying for my Nomad gloves and ended up getting them in a Daily cache anyway. Change to a 4+2, keep up with the Dailies and Weeklies, and keep plugging away on the Global Event would be my advice.

@scam
I think it was you that mentioned Last Podcast on the Left at the other place. I have been listening to the series on the back of the recommendation. Some really interesting stuff and dark comedy that comes with it. You're right with the Dahmer being helped / ignored. Such a crazy story. Especially with the whole dead bodies buried under the floor boards (if my memory serves me right). Cunning must have got the inspiration from him.

Morning,
Bit of The Division last night in gaming hour. Did the napalm production site mission and a couple of side missions. Still carrying around far too much stuff I need to deconstruct. Need a good run at it. Still deciding on rifle selection as well. Amateur hour.
We get emails blocked every day. Lists of books and interlibrary loan requests with words deemed dodgy (eg Jew) by our filtering. I got an email this morning mentioning porn, masturbation, self abusing, virus, bitcoin. Straight through. Clowns.
(No I didn't pay up. I told my colleagues if they didn't want to see the video as was threatened THEY should pay up)

@scam I think it was you that mentioned Last Podcast on the Left at the other place. Dahmer was caught when he told police to check in his bedroom for something (Dahmer lived in a very bad part of town, as such the police just weren't interested). They went in just as Dahmer remembered that there was a trophy set up there with all sorts of photos and evidence of what he'd been doing. The other reason the police weren't interested in Dahmer was that he was killing men (often male prostitutes) the police at the time simply didn't want to get involved in anything involving this. You might be thinking of John Wayne Gacy? The chap who was Pongo, the clown (note pics of him as a clown show the clown makeup with sharp edges, generally speaking the clown makeup is smooth/circular, not angles). Gacy had them under the house in a crawlspace, again he often picked up young men who were travelling and had ended up working with him. The police only got involved when a local kid went missing who came from a 'regular' background. Gacy got away with loads, police simply left him be. When they finally got round to it they were watching him. He went over the road to the police car and invited them in for coffee and used the famous line "if you dress as a clown you can get away with murder". One of the police went to the toilet and after flushing noticed a very odd smell. This might have been missed had they not been what we would refer to as SOCO and thus familiar with the smell of dead bodies. They came back and searched the crawlspace and found it all. Last Podcast can be hit and miss though the Serial Killers tend to be very good episodes. The WACO one is worth listening to as well.
