Good Morning Everyone!
I won some Fortnite last night. I'm the best.
Lots of crying in the office this morning. I was comforter-in-chief, due to being the only other person in the office. This did not go well. I might send her a text advising her to chose someone more sympathetic next time she's going to cry everywhere.

Awful morning at work. The creep on the fries section has such bad B.O. that it makes my eyes bleed. The stinky nerd then thought I was upset so tried to comfort me and started getting all touchy feely. I've reported him to HR, the pervert.

Worked in a bookshop. Xmas music all day from end of Nov. Couldn't listen to Xmas music for years after. I worked nigh shifts in a 24 hour ASDA store and had to listen to the same 12 Christmas tracks over and over. I still get angry when that Mariah Carey song plays and as the same songs were played at the same time each night, I deep down know I should have finished stacking both the new and old butters by this point. |

Heading home. Got two beers in my bag - but as I had to run for the train I'm leaving them for another night.
Off tomorrow. Going into town tomorrow to visit various coffee shops. I mean, go Christmas shopping. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Eldest child (15yo, year 10) suspended from school today. What happened, as far as I can tell through the tears and snot, is:
She went to a party on Saturday at, let's say, child X's house. During the party, child 'Y' snuck a bottle of vodka in. They all had a shot or whatever, no dramas, but child Y went home without their bottle. Y has since asked for their booze back, so X brought it into school today hidden in their gym bag (ffs). A few brave souls including my dumb kid had a nip of it in the bogs at lunchtime, after which child Z grassed them all up to the head of year, and the riot act has been read to the lot of them.
Daughter is having a rough enough time of it this year with bullies and ongoing MH problems, and making a terrible choice like this today hasn't helped. Stuoid as he has been, I'm sad for her

Double bubble football trouble! All four teams can still get through this group. Already flicking between the two matches when when one match has a stoppage. I love the world cup group stages.
Younglings are on a school trip tomorrow to watch an opera. An opera FFS! I've already filled in the adoption papers. I've never been to an opera because I am not Italian. Or cultured. Mama Mia!
OTTM, Christmas is now allowed to commence from tomorrow.

muffrat how long is she suspended for? Although it's not the smartest thing in the world, 15 year olds boozing at school is pretty much par for the course surely? And to be honest I'd just be glad she was the one doing the boozing, and not the snitch

My teenager is extremely anti booze. To the point her mother and I have both had to tell her to lighten up a bit. To be honest I suspect some of it comes from all the times she's seen me hungover
