We got a bollocking at school after two of my year ended up in A&E in separate incidents one weekend when we were 16/17.
No suspensions. The assistant head did a strong impression of not being pleased though. He was good at it.

Also one of friends passed out and threw up on ouzo (in that order) on a trip to Greece when we were 15.
A hell of a mess.
The teachers on the trip did not report it to the schoool.

It was a couple of the 'inexperienced' drinkers who tucked into something vile like a bottle of southern comfort. Stomach pumps galore. Luckily I'd been well coached by Dad, who's advice from about 14 was along the lines of "if you want to drink, have beer or lager only. Don't ever drink spirits". So we'd just had a few cans at a friends house. What I'm saying is, Faceless is the best parent. |

Though there was a bar at the sports hall. In the sixth form we were able to get beer there after rugby on a Saturday. Though not to excess.
They also supplied a keg of 20 pints or something when we played at Moseley once aged 15.
This included the assistant head. He was not actually a monster.

I'm finding it very difficult to get enthused about the Poland vs Argentina game.
Poland: Bunch of self-entitled tosspots who think the English are a bunch of self-entitled tosspots.

Couple of drinks = enthusiasm Couple more = inevitable disaster. To be fair it has happened to all of us. Was anyone else here present when Ross Anderson got himself proper drunk at a meet? Poor little guy. Lights on, no one at home. |

No booze incidents at my school. I did get 3 days of lunchtime detention for going to the chippy during the lunch-hour once. I liked it.

Oof, ask to breathalyse teachers each morning and see what happens? Might be time to ask them about their safegaurding of daughter and pull them apart on failings in front of the pta/governors?

muffrat how long is she suspended for? Although it's not the smartest thing in the world, 15 year olds boozing at school is pretty much par for the course surely? And to be honest I'd just be glad she was the one doing the boozing, and not the snitch She was sent home at lunchtime, and is suspended for tomorrow too, so a day and a half. The kid with the booze is suspended for a week - she'd have got off a lot lighter except she initially tried to deny everything, then throw everyone else under the bus, before admitted lying about everything and producing the bottle of Grant's from her locker. My girl's fucking miserable, there's a wee touch of self regret and shame I suppose but having her phone taken off her is like a bullet to the heart. She's an anxious kid with other problems, but that phone is like a crutch for her (as much as its also a fucking yoke). I got up to worse while on the school clock, but never got caught. I can't be too mad at her and I'm not, but Jesus, it feels like ten minutes ago we were watching CBeebies together |

Perhaps take her out for a pub lunch tomorrow to cheer her up.
Maybe not close to her school though.
How has she lost the phone?
Also tell her to be smarter next time. Don't drink on school premises, don't get caught, and make sure her friends don't snitch.

The Witcher 3 next gen update is out on the 14th apparently - excited about that. Don't know if that should be my next game after Ragnarok, or if I should tuck into Last of us 2 first. Prob the latter, as it prob won't involve 200hrs+
Ive just got a new battery for my creaking PS Vita, so when I can be arsed to fit it I can at least remote play Ragnarok in bed
