I'm on a train, and it's still the middle of the night. Only just got parked and the coffee shop wasn't open yet. I'm worried I've gone Full Crank.

It should be illegal for trains to run and coffee shops be closed. Worse than Kanye Ye Hitler.

One of the projects I'm involved with at work is a complete mess. The guy who's in charge of it got a bollocking the other day by one of the top level management bods, on a call in front of about 30 other people. The guy who got the bollocking is now asking me to retrospectively rewrite some reports to make it look like we've done a lot more than we actually have. I've got no problem with lying at work - it's how I've remained employed for so long - but I'm trying to get him to explicitly say in an email that the reason I'm changing stuff and making things up is because he's telling me to

Faceless, you're Amending data - not making things up.

What Faceless wants is an evidence trail to protect him as and when the shit hits the fan. Correcting data could easily look bad in a blame tribunal. Less so if your boss has told you to do it in so few words.

I had a nightmare. It was awful.
I was in a pub and couldn't get served. First there were were no staff at the bar, then there were plenty of staff, but they were either not working or working languidly or serving other people. Then when i did get served the barrel needed changing and the bar person disappeared for ages. When she returned she served someone else. Then i was given the wrong drinks. I went to different bars and the same thing happened. It was incredibly hurtful.
I woke up without ever getting served. Oddly enough i was thirsty. And crying.

You'd have to be a total chump though to email evidence asking someone to fix things.

The respectable looking middle aged men across the aisle from me have just opened their third bottle of sparkling wine. Very strong train game.

You'd have to be a total chump though to email evidence asking someone to fix things. Indeed. However, I have sent him an email asking him to confirm that he wants me to 'amend' certain things, and that I'll hold fire on making any changes until he's confirmed I suspect he'll try to phone me, rather than put it in an email. Unfortunately for him I will be having issues with Teams this afternoon, and so won't be able to answer
