Strewth, it's frozen out there. Tiny dusting of snow overnight which is now frozen. The car is going nowhere, neither am I.
Got about half way through The Batman last night. Good stuff. Hopefully finish tonight.

This cold weather is going to add to Chumbles problems if his heating was left on when they took him away. He'll get a very large bill if it's been running 24/7.....the contents of his fridge should now be reaching maximum gloopiness and decay.

I left the flat this morning, walked round the back to take the access road towards the station and heard a recognisable closing of a door. It was one of our next door neighbours, leaving to go the same station as me, to get the same train, to the same place of work. It’s bad enough seeing someone you know as you enter the workplace. I could not handle a 30 minute commute with my neighbour. My mind would crack.
I did an abrupt ‘about turn’ and went a different way. I hope she didn’t see me. I would have brought it on myself …
No mouse noise last night - none that I heard, really. I did wake up at three to the sound of chaotic foxes outside. A real hullaballoo.

I have managed to avoid getting the train back to Glasgow with work colleagues who commuted every day. There was an unspoken rule where we would acknowledge each other but that was about it. They've now left -and the one guy who still goes to Glasgow is a cock, a total bellend. So I've no qualms about blankly ignoring him. Even when our office moved and the station nearby was tiny. Headphones and furious typing into your phone can help.
Or push them under a train. Either works.

I only liked the first series of Red Dwarf. After the new Holly came in it went downhill. Then when Kryton appeared it went even more downhill. Then they moved into that small green spaceship and it became irretrievably poor. Unlike my face.

The second series is pure gold, and doesn’t feature any of the newer characters that you don’t get on with. I don’t know - there was a general snobbishness on the old blog about Red Dwarf. And Terry Pratchet. If it wasn’t American or edgy, it was looked down upon. No wonder the people of the UK cried out for freedom, and voted in their droves for Brexit. |
