I'm not a big fan of the Nations League. The games are glorified friendlies. I am nt sure I watched a single England game during the glorious campaign. It could be good for Scotland to be in group A. Get some games against decent opposition without too much pressure. |

Smart meter has hit my budget for a six today. Realised this afternoon that the heating has been kicking on every now and then as the minimum temperature has been reached. Dread to think how many times that’s happened overnight when there was no one downstairs. |

My Mum's got a wood burner. TBF she lives in the middle of nowhere and has only really started using it because the coalman has retired.

Just put the bin out. Fuck me it's cold out there. Not that they will collect them. Apart from two tracks down the middle, the Road is covered mostly still in rock hard snow and ice, like the pavements, and we're on a hill. Can't blame em really.
Was going to watch Amipals movie recommendation, but might watch the cricket highlights first.
Chilli for tea. Boodiful.

A couple of solid days of existence... Saturday had the in laws over for lunch, then drinking rum all night with some chums for the soccer match.
Sunday was about simultaneously dealing with a rum hangover, and fulfilling a promise to the youngest about sorting her out for a 'treat', after nixing our going to the primary school superspreader xmas fair. This involved us driving to hobbycraft & spending forty sheets on acrylic paints and Russian doll blanks, and letting her ruin the dining room table and wallpaper to come up with some creepy nesting nightmare figurines. Four stars. Genuinely might need to redecorate downstairs
Eight hours of lessons today - every hour involves >40 mins of prep and Admin, so a personal record today in terms of work for this firm
The bottle of whisky I won in the school raffle turned out to be Bells - I was close to re-gifting it but I've had a few generous measures mixed with some irn bru tonight and I apologise to no-one
Got a few hours of Ragnarok in last night and got to the credits - genuinely emotional to a level that console games rarely reach, a lovely finish to a series I've played since the very first game. They lay on some extra missions for beyond the endgame - a nice touch for which I'm grateful, and I'm sure I'll hoover them up. I only wish I had more than four stars to give.
Tonight I'm watching Masterchef on catchup and evaluating my life choices (no regrets)

Found a nice, warm, safe place, with what appeared to be caring owners. How wrong could he have been. They were monsters. Harassed on a daily basis. Multiple murder attempts were made. No option left but to go back out into the bitter, punishing cold, or the crushing crunching jaws of a fox.
