I've got nothing (serious) against the French, but Ive got a lamb leg steak marinating in Ras el hanout for a late supper so I'm in Morocco's corner tonight
Spent four hours today putting up blinds in the bay window front of house - had to reinforce the 100 yr old lath & plaster with a load of builders foam and nordic ply- but it's up and fixed. Annoyingly difficult job. My main problem with the whole project is that I've replaced three beautiful woven silk blinds in exquisite shades of teal and turquoise, with three (expensive) blinds made of beige. I hate them, the kids hate them... But they were expensive and the wife loves them. And I owe her in every measurable metric

I have a question.
I’m pretty sure someone once posted a list of appliance tyoes with their ‘go-to’ manufacturers for each one.
Does anyone have a list like this? A personal list? In their head?
Who make the best ovens? And the best electrical hobs?
Can you share with me your wisdom?

Predictions for the game tonight? I think France 2-0 in 90 minutes. The problem with Morocco is they always try and walk it in.

The lamb was delicious
Sliced thin with some pickles, chilli jam and salad, on a couple of pita breads
mwah 🤌
I've had to move some boxes down from the loft in order to have some work done on the chimney breast tomorrow, so I'm spending the last hours before bedtime playing turrican 2 on my Amiga 500, on the portable telly my neighbour gave me 35 years ago
It's harder than I remember

I so much hoped that Morocco would have pushed France closer. But that early France goal allowed Les Bleus to sit back - I think that the French weren't sharp, but they did just enough.

This is purely based on my own experience Bosch for making things hot in the kitchen (both ovena, toaster, kettle, microwave) - we had the kitchen done in 2017, and had the kettle and toaster a couple of years before that, and they're all working like teutonic clockwork

Its OK, the best electric hob I've ever used, but still not as good as the cheap generic gas hob we had previously. Gas hobos rule

I feel good about Bosch. Do Bosch make good ovens? Yes they're great. Heat up quick, super bright light inside (more important to me than most folk), the doors close with a reassuring CLUNK like an ols Mercedes We've got a super technical bosch double oven which I used to use almost daily, until I bought this air fryer, which now gets all the love

Another vote for #TeamBosch. We bought our house in 2006 and it had a recently put in Bosch cooker top (5 x hobs) and a separate built in Bosch oven. They're probably the only two things in the whole house we haven't changed/haven't broken down in over 16 years.

Playing within themselves a bit. Much like v England. It will be interesting to see what France can do if they go behind in a big game. I think they have been mostly comfortable so far.

Probably should've bought a Yuasa, still, 4 years.
