Had to drag my son out of the sea earlier. That was fun.
We’d gone for a post-Christmas dinner wander down the beach. He’d run away from the incoming tide once, but for some reason, the second time, he turned towards it and promptly tripped over into it.
I made a grab for the scruff of his jacket - and came away with the detachable hood. Every time I tried to grab his coat, I slipped as it was slick with seawater.
Eventually, I heaved him out of the surf by his ankles. His head was soaked, as was 50% of his top.
Good fun.

Never touch the sea, lunch turned out nice. "Frank Cross: I never liked a girl well enough to give her twelve sharp knives." <edit>Probably should have cropped out the Bud.

Evening
Christmas dinner went down well. Loads of leftovers too. I then had an hours nap. I am about to commence my first alcoholic beverage of the day as I am unable to manage both drinking and cooking a Christmas feast without messing up.
Cheers!

The Apartment is a great film, Christmas?
I won't enter the debate about Die Hard.

Dinner was at 6.30. With parents. We shared the cooking. It was really nice.
I have recently opened a second bottle of Chateauneuf Du Pape. I am hoping bot to have to share it.

I assume from your spelling that you drank most of the first one. Or is "hoping bot" something I've missed? <edit>or it's possible you meant "not" and just mistyped and I jumped on it to be vaguely amusing. <edit><edit>sometimes I look at my posts and feel sad. <edit><edit><edit>not often

You have a very hard head; when I was allowed wine, I limited myself to one bottle after a dinner party where the guests preferred claret. I couldn't get out of bed except for bathroom visits for 24h. I also believed in tailing down with 2-3 ca 3.6% abv pints.

My slightly bigger phone than last has the same keyboard but is slightly bigger so I keep making typos.
I'm feeling quite anti-social now and would like to fuck off to bed and watch Glass Onion on an iPad. But I won't.
Phoned my sister. Her neighbours boyfriend is pished and came round. He's insisting my mum's partner arrested him many years ago for breaking into cars and chased him over a gate. Not with any upset, all very matter of fact.
