I’m going to Amsterdam today. ‘The Amsterdamage of Amsterdam’. Not my words. The words of a middle-aged German man with the accent of Werner Herzog, last time I was there.
Did you sleep ok? I did but we’re having to sleep with the bedroom window closed because of the mouse threat. Fortunately I’ve now found the peppermint oil spray to line potential ways in.

Morning all. I bring sad tidings - last night, we had to have our cat Manny put to sleep.
His legs suddenly stopped working yesterday evening, and he was meowing in pain. Turns out he had an aortic thromboembolism- a blood clot stopping flow to the legs.
Eight years old he was. So utterly sad.

Morning all. I bring sad tidings - last night, we had to have our cat Manny put to sleep. His legs suddenly stopped working yesterday evening, and he was meowing in pain. Turns out he had an aortic thromboembolism- a blood clot stopping flow to the legs. Eight years old he was. So utterly sad. Really sad to hear that; at least, you know that there was nothing more you could have done. |

Really sad to hear that; at least, you know that there was nothing more you could have done. Yeah, the vet said there was a procedure they could do. But it wasn’t garaunteed- he could have permanently lost the use of his legs, died in a week or two, or on the operating table. Poor thing. |

I’m in an airport. Drinking a Bloody Mary and eating a stollen bite. Well, I’ve just eaten a stollen bite. Nice. It feels Christmassy.
I wouldn’t usually drink alcohol in an airport before midday, but it feels ok - with it being within the 12 days. The 12 days of song and Christmas lore.
